In response to a phone call from a UCF fan, Bianchi said one of the O'Leary haters should bring their argument to a public forum (he mentioned O'Leary's radio show) and challenge GOL to his face. I like that idea. Thank you, Mike! C-Mont, Firm, are you or your accomplices on here up for that?

Unlike what some of the hardliners claim GOL will not put up with the difficult questions.

GOL has had approx 140 open to the public radio shows...why would FIW show up now?

Heck, GOL also hosts free luncheons on Friday (without media, not on air) for the past 11-12 years...great opportunity for the FIW to show for that too.

Bottom line, some of these folks probably don't even know where the UCF stadium is even located in campus, as some (not all) don't even go to the games or support the program.

Bianchi is not a good spokesman for us. Every now and then he's on-point, but I swear he does U-C-F in 3 lines of coke, ruining the execution. Bianchi constantly makes us look like fools as a result.

In any case ... it's time to take a note from Bortles. It's literally like watching kindergartners trying to tell about college kids what they are doing wrong. Every now and then, they may be right on the basics, but there's no way they can grasp the complexity and realities.

Bianchi doesn't always take UCF's side in a discussion, that is clear. In this case, though, I think he is on target.

So is this like challenging the workforce to walk into the CEO's weekly meeting and tell him to resign? How exactly does that accomplish anything?

Organizing with like-minded individuals online and forming a voice for change works much better - just ask Obama and BLM. If they can do it we can too!

I like GOL. I've been a fan of his for 25 years. He cares about the program and the kids in the program even after they have left. He still cares about the kids at Georgia Tech and their families. I've seen it first hand. However GOL has had his time at UCF and now his time has ended. Time to start moving into a new direction. What must be done eventually should be done immediately.

I seriously dont see the hype about asking GOL a hard question. He's a grown ass man who is aware that you can't please everyone, all the time. I'm sure he'd answer any question after an initial glib comment. Likewise anyone expecting to intimidate GOL had better pack a lunch. I don't like everything GOL says or does, and honestly he could give two sh!ts less what I think. Bianchi is just stirring the pot as usual.

Though we disagree, I'm glad you're at least sounding more reasonable this time. Thank you for that. It's possible O'Leary may settle the question by resigning as head coach after this season regardless of how anyone else feels or how this season goes. If he does resign, I'd like him to stay on as the athletic director at least long enough to help us get into the Big 12 or whatever P5 conference we might have a shot at.

Hire the best AD that we can afford. I don't believe that is GOL.

I agree, There's a reason he's just the "interim AD." Trying to hold it together for someone with the experience and chops to get it done on a full time basis. The entire athletic program is WAY bigger than just the football team regardless of the money it generates.

GOL may not have the experience or financial know-how of a guy like Steve Orsini, but I think it would be wise to keep him around as the face of UCF in a significant role if we're serious about joining a P5 conference. It's not like he's the only guy running UCF athletics; he has plenty of help. I think O'Leary can still play a key part in UCF football's future whether that be as head coach or athletic director.

Then bring Orsini back as assistant AD and have him run day to day operations have George be the frontman.

Even though I disagree, this is probably your most eloquently stated and convincing argument.

You're wasting your breath. You may believe it should be done immediately,
but it's not happening. He's leaving on his own terms for sure. How do you plan on bringing about immediate change???

Use whatever word you want, but you're waiting this year or next year and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. So sit back, enjoy or hate the games, and continue to bitch all you want. It's just falling on deaf ears.

GOL avoids the hard questions. I've seen him asked questions that he completely avoids on th coaches caravan. So, I'm not sure what "challenging" him with questions would accomplish. He's here to stay until he feels like it.

That's a shame. Nobody should have a job until they feel like leaving. In the end, I suspect that I'll be proven right again.

GOL avoids the hard questions..

Not sure I would call them "hard questions" but GOL had multiple "intelligent" questions asked to him during Lunch with George which focused on shortcomings/mistakes made in the 2 games this year.

I think those that asked those questions just wanted answers, and didn't ask to embarrass him (which seems to be the goal of a certain minority for some reason).

Also, during the radio show, almost every commercial break, fans come up to GOL and ask him direct questions (maybe too timid to ask on air) and GOL gives them a straight forth answer.

No clue why certain people are "afraid" to have a conversation with him, regardless the setting...strange they are as its pretty obvious that those that hate him are not interested in asking intelligent questions because if they were interested, they would show up at any of the dozens and dozens of opportunities, in public, in private, on air, etc...

"No clue?" Lol. It's because they just want to complain. It's the vocal internet rivals board minority that complain about EVERYTHING and rarely offer anything positive or constructive. That's why I call them UCF radical extremists.

Obviously you don't understand the difference between negativity and accountability.

Obviously I do. Your posts are extremely negative, except for one. Accountability is when GOL or whomever is taking responsibility for actions whether they are negative or positive.

GOL has not been great at taking responsibility for mistakes which have been made. He needs to do better at this.

However, what is your endpoint here?
He's not needing to take responsibility or accountability and he's leaving on his own terms, so why bitch and be negative? It's not going to get you anywhere.

I already have spoken to GOL. He knows how I feel.
So, again, I think we all should take a note from Bortles about kindergartners ... ;)

Seriously ... how do you expect GoL to respond?

"Oh, I'll get right on that," George lacks enthusiasm in his response. "I'll immediately fire myself and my entire coaching staff. The timing is just right, barely 2 games into the season and creating absolute uncertainty at our most crucial point in recruiting. The kids don't know who they will be playing for because a coaching search and complete staff changeover doesn't happen overnight."

Good post. If the world was ran by Firm and Monty that's what would happen. Immediate firing of everyone.

I'm okay if people don't like Key. I'm okay if people don't like the results.

But these "Garbage Men" cannot resist trashing anything and everything about the program. I just cannot believe the depths they will go, out of pure contempt for the current administration and those of us who don't believe we should change things on-a-whim (even if we disagree with some things). I mean ... WTF?!

Wrong again.
Then why is *all* the garbage continuing to come up? Why not focus on the few things, instead of always pressing the nuke button?

Why are you guys jumping around every time we point something out?

I'll just be quiet and let you observed what's about to happen. I won't even say that I told you so.

Yes, let the season play out. My point was exactly that.

Instead, you and your Garbage troop wanted to sling as much mud as you could as if GoL and Key killed JFK.

But thank you for finally conceeding we should have this conversation *after* the season is over. If we don't have at least a winning season, a lot of us will be unhappy.

You'll ask for GOL to retire if we have a losing season? Or will you use Holman missing 4 games and a young team as an excuse?

No. He'll just blame it on injuries including the FIU game.
So, inventing responses for me too? I mean, it wasn't enough to blame others for what you guys actually said first, but you're gonna answer questions directed towards me?

The FIU loss is heavily coaching, grade "F", more than anything else. I said that over and over after the first game, including 100% situational " senialism" on the last series.

Stanford is another story. People were trying to invent things and make comments as if UCF was Ohio State. That really got old.

So ... to actually answer this for myself ...

I fully expect a 5-3 record in-conference at a minimum, including a W against the Cows at home on Thanksgiving. I would expect to finish 7-5, at a minimum.

If we cannot beat the Cows, or Furman for that matter, let alone drop 4+ in-conference, I expect Key to have a lot to answer for. I would ask GoL to look hard at another option. I'm sure Hitt is saying the same things.

As far as GoL, if we have a losing season *and* grades suffer, then I'm going to really question just WTF is happening with the program. But even with a losing season, I don't see GoL being let go, unless the off-the-field suffers too. You cannot fire a coach for 1 losing season in the last 4. I don't care who you are or in what program, that's irresponsible.

We'd have to back to yo-yo'ing seasons to can GoL.

As far as trying to pin sanctions and deats on GoL, you guys are just embarrassing the program. I'm giving you, and other people are giving you, a lot of flak because you won't drop it. It's not funny. It's not warranted. And it really puts the program in a bad light. The sanctions had jack to do with Football and O'Leary, and even the NCAA agreed - only the 3rd bowl ban overturned in NCAA history.

As far as Plancher, stop. Seriously, STFU. It is absolutely cruel to go there. And that's why you clowns are getting a lot of flak you very much deserve. You trash the program by going there, along with the other Trolling. You make us look bad, you hurt the program and it's sad you cannot see it.

We get it. You thought GoL should have been gone, even with the Fiesta, and Key never given the OC position. Please stop and understand not everyone here disagrees with the latter. We are just taking an issue with the Garbage men you are, trashing the program by piling on as much as you can. And you're doing it by inventing or at least stretching things.

You *are* ISIS. You will *kill* anyone who disagrees with you, because from your perspective, GoL and anyone who has defended anything about him are like the United States, just holding the program hostage and raping it. So you feel the need to nuke anyone and everyone with as much trash as possible, doesn't matter how it looks.

Doesn't matter if it's true or not ... let alone relevant. You will say we wanted Key, Taffe and everyone else ... that we agree 100% with GoL without question, and will make excuses for anything. Like the FIU game. And that's what you will do ... railroad everyone who won't join you in screaming about every low-point in the program, bringing up sad moments and otherwise baiting us into things we never said or even agreed to.

We're hostage takers ... and all means to make your points are justified, even encouraged, right?
