Also, if Big 12 doesn't get in Top 4 Bowl games at end of season, remember this article
and the fact that the Big 12 college fan base generally wants to be a division winner at minimum
and see conference championship winner next which is missing because of division less league
right now.

He's a Southwest Conference guy just like the Texas colleges that got left behind when the Big Eight was formed.
 
Gary Patterson made the mistake of coming out as a chicken several months ago saying he's scared of winning a division and then losing the conference championship game. Just what you want as a head coach, someone afraid of tough competition. I guess he wants to get in the Nat. Championship but doesn't want his team tested by any tough teams. 1 and out is his motto.
