Man it has to be tough to write these season preview magazines in today’s time with the portal.

Absolutely well deserved. I’ve replied in a handful of posts over the past several months about how much I like this young man and his family.
His Otis tribute pose in that photo will always be one of the most iconic photos in the history of UCF football. It belongs right up there with JJ Worton’s “the catch” and Shaquem & Milton holding the Peach Bowl Trophy.
So glad to see him and Bowser getting so much attention.
That P5 label holds a lot of weight. I think the only thing that may change that would be college football playoff expansion to 8 to 12 teams. I'm glad UCF finally made it to the other side, because they are in no hurry to change the current invitational.
Where does our non-conference scheduling strategy go?
a) put our money where our mouth 'was' and schedule strong G5 matchups
b) turn our noses and schedule only P5 / Cupcakes?
Option a. At eod, bama and others will still avoid us. But we can still play a couple mid level p5s and a usf cupcake

Last time Texas played UCF at the bounce house, the longhorns pulled off a squeaker and just about lost. 35--32. Texas was ranked #6, Year 2007. UCF beat the big12 winner Baylor in 2013. To say Big 12 teams are just going to overwhelm us is well...overwhelming. Those teams are good, but UCF is so much better now than those past teams. We are in an upward trajectory. Texas is just going to take the place of Vandy for the cupcake conference game. Oklahoma just lost their long time winning coach. Surely, they are on a downward trend, especially in the SEC. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the games.

Reminds me of the 64-12 shirts back in the day when usf won a few games and players wives were doing all their homework.....that is how this "academic superiority" crap started, they had all these wives doing double homework and they got smarter....duh.

I hate to admit it but until we have a QB of Milton or Gabriel caliber I wouldn’t be over concerned about UCF. This is why I’m hoping Plumlee steps up. Mikey is a better than average player but not star QB material. We need a star QB to lead us into Big12 conference championship. We’ve got a great roster with unproven QB.

Worried about Miami? Listen closely, were not worried about a team that has never won the ACC. Were not worried about a team that plays in a rented stadium in front of 40 fans. Were not worried about a team that hasnt been good in two decades. The U is dead, deal with it.
