Boise St vs Washington

Boise is very vulnerable on the deep balls. It’s unfortunate that our outside receivers don’t have much straight line speed. Maybe we could get send Townsend on some go routes against them

Boise State's secondary is the weakness of the defense. Corner Markel Reed has been injured for the last two seasons. Corner Jaylen Clark was lucky to get a 'committable' scholarship offer. Safety Alexander Teubner started as a walk-on. Safety Rodney Robinson is only 5-foot-8. Nickel Seyi Oladipo lost his starting job before last season.

But don't be deceived. The Broncos have held Washington to 71 yards rushing through 3+ quarters. This is an unfavorable matchup on paper for UCF.

Probably gonna force JRP to throw. If the OL doesn't give him time (which seemed to be the case against Kent State) we're gonna be in trouble.

Unfortunately you need a QB that can locate the open receiver and throw the ball accurately without hesitation.

They just have to do what the staff had been saying all camp. Plumlee show he is completely different this year and they stretch the field with a passing game.

If they don't do it against Boise State then everything that comes from the staff continues to just say what fans hope to hear and Malzahn is determined to win only by his way.

Washington had 568 total yards but only 78 yards (4.3 ypc) came on 18 rushes. Boise State shut down the run.
Lol…story bro. How far you trying to reach here? Final score was 56-19. “Only” a 37 point win for Washington. A moral victory for Boise? Comical.

Boise State is trash. Boys gave up 56 points to Washington.

Go through reads, if see green run and slide. Don't take a sack. Let's get creative with play calling. No red zone passes with jrp please!!! Wild knight #5

To be fair, their starting running back Cameron Davis did not play and is out for the season due to a leg injury.

Boise State was one of the top rushing offenses in the country last season. It’s dangerous to make assumptions about a team based off just one contest. Obviously because of the score in the second half (playing from behind), the Broncos weren’t able to play to their strength running the ball. They have two dominant backs, plus a QB that can make a lot of plays with his legs.

Controlling their running game will be our defense’s #1 focus this week. I’ll take our chances putting their offense behind the chains in obvious passing situations.

sounds like we need to stretch the field vertically(something we really haven't shown is a real threat, since Heupl) , jump out to a big lead and hopefully cruise out a win.

Their strength is stuffing the run on D. If we can't run it well and let them hang around could be a tough game.
