I believe whole-heartedly in capital punishment.

However, sit this f'er in solitary for the rest of his life. He wants to die, he said it. Doing so would give him what he wants. Screw that. Let him sit with his conscience and forgo the 70 virgins and paradise.

He had a chance to do that...but he ran and hid in a boat...and then only came out with his hands up (he wanted to live...regardless what he wrote or said).

Honestly, killing him would be rewarding him. He's just 20 but facing life in prison, meaning he'll spend at least 40-50 years behind bars unless he manages to kill himself.

That is an utterly awful.

Put him in solitary confinement for life and run studies on how it affects the brain. Use him as a test subject.
