Brandon, can you STFU and let your interviewees answer your questions?

You talk more than your interviewees. Allow them to answer the Fckin questions.

Groethe sounds like he spends his days hittin the whiskey in his trailor.
LOL bro 10000% "Groethe sounds like he spends his days hittin the whiskey in his trailor."

But I will give you this about Brandon... at worst, I find Brandon to be annoying at times, especially with certain questions to our players...he'll ask these one-way-to-answer questions like "How do you feel about the players from Navy and their service to our country" or something like that and it's not like the player he asked that question to is going to say anything other than like "Yeah they're great people and it's great to be playing them" - so yeah, those PC questions I don't care for at all, or actually phrase that question better so it's actually a question and not automatically agreeing with your PC statement.

But aside from that (and that's not all the time) his content is pretty decent, especially the talks he has with the other fanbase's 'expert'. Those videos are pretty good and actually representative of the fanbase. Groethe (usf) lives in a trailer park now and doesn't even bother to turn on his camera during the interview, the ecu guy was a delusional heavy-set dude who hated UCF and even claimed that ECU and usf were more deserving and should have been invited into the B12, and the last Navy guy was actually a Midshipmen whose analysis on UCF and Navy were spot on (and is clearly a smart, decent guy).

Love Brandon's seemingly endless flow of content, especially the Sights and Sounds videos that give you a real sense of being at the game when you can't actually be there. Plus B and I chatted it up a bit at the FAU game and the dude is genuine and loves the program. At the end of the day he's an OG of UCF content and he's still trying to add more, which I very much appreciate. I can see the critique of asking questions in the form of run-on sentences though, that's fair.

"So John-Rhys, how do you feel? You used to play with this team right, you were QB then you played some WR, that's pretty interesting, talk about where your game's at and how you feel..."

You're just being a douche about it lol. We're lucky he doesn't put this stuff behind a paywall in The Dungeon.

He used to. With a few other people covering team he has to release a bit more. With move to Big 12 there will be more access to our teams.

Probably not a popular opinion (as if I care), but I actually like Grothe...Sure...he's a wise-a$$ and all...but he is passionate about his team and vocal, hence the reason why you know him as it's been over a decade since he's played college football. He has character and grit, and I do respect that given the circumstances. He also realizes their leadership made a lot of mistakes regarding vision, knows USiF has been left behind, and also agrees we should continue the series, which I am in favor of. Otherwise, I enjoyed the interview. Thanks Brandon.

Go Knights!...lets take care of business on Saturday and close this out.

The only reason there was some talking over early in the interview was because the guy started off slow and Brandon needed to keep the discussion flowing......it got better after a few minutes.

The guy was a complete condescending douchebag when he was playing, but was very even keeled today, so score 64 points for maturity.

We HAVE to beat them solidly but we really need to play tighter in the secondary (what we used to call "bump and run" to make their guy throw over us) because Brown can hit open receivers in short patterns....can't play off 10 yards.

Bump and run requires man coverage and corner to be at line. I don’t think we do either of those. 10 yard cushion and zone seems to be why we give up yards on drives.

Interesting interview. I disagree with brandon on wishing duh*bulls were coming to the Big 12 with us. So fug him on that idea. I love leaving them behind because they suck. Glad to be entering a conference that actually has fans.

Grothe is a trash bag and I wouldn’t even interview him if I was Brandon. Brandon does ask a lot of non-open ended questions in run on sentences that is a waste of time, but man I wouldn’t trash him as he does give good content. I do wish he’d stop asking questions about BarBQ or about regional food. Also wish our local media would ask more poignant, hard questions that EVERYONE is questioning, too many soft ass fluff.

Hes not a journalist. He’ll never ask those types of questions. He’s just a cheerleader with a keyboard.
