For those who dint know the story, Manny Diaz was supposed to be Mack Brown's successor at Texas. He had been with Mack for a while and had turned down other job offers to stay at Texas as DC. Then Manny flamed out, his defense failed to perform against lesser competition and the fanbase turned on Mack. In fact this is the point where Mack Brown's downfall began because he died on the hill Manny Diaz created. Then in 2013, Taysom Hill and BYU destroyed Texas. hill accounted for 450 yards of offense as Texas' defense was destroyed. Fans showed up to Mack's radio show and press conference calling for Diaz's head. Diaz was fired that week.
