According to the High School information in the link attached from the UCF site,
Perriman ran a 4.4 forty in High School track.

Do these guys get faster or slower when they go to college?
I would hope with all his training at UCF and now pre-combine that
his time would be faster.

According to the experts if he runs a 4.4, he's a first round candidate.

Once again if the High School time is legit, I've got no reason NOT to believe
that he is going to have a good forty time and possibly sub 4.4

If he gets a 4.35 - 4.38 time, he's into big money.

on a draft website it said fastest was 4.39 and slowest was 4.51...so somewhere between those is his average.

I would think most guys would get faster or stay about the same, unless they really bulked up in college. Breshard might have bulked up some because of his huge frame. I don't really believe a lot of those high school times are very accurate anyways. I don't follow high school track, but I've never heard heard of the 40 yard dash being a track event.

According to combine website QBs, RBs and Receivers run the 40 on Saturday.

I wouldn't be surprised if he runs in betwen a 4.4-4.5, but someone his size would be pretty rare to run much faster than that. There's only a few guys every year that run sub 4.4s.

The NFL draftscout.com website makes range estimates and an average time based on experts guessing. If there has been no official 40 that was ever clocked, then it's only a guesstimate. We need to post a thread/contest on this like we do with the UCF score prediction.
Can somebody do this?

Watching Perriman the last two years, I would be shocked if he ran anywhere near a high 4.3 or mid 4.4 at the combine...remember, the end is laser timed...

He looks to be about a high 4.4 to low 4.5. I bet he runs 4.5-4.55.

I had several friends in college go to the combine. They ran on a track in the high 4.4's and 4.5s(and ended up with a 4.75 at combine this was a safety). One guy was a D1AA all American WR and he ran a 4.8(his track time in college was 4.6). But the 40 is mostly BS. Their is so much more than 40 speed. 10 yard speed is way more important, and stop and start quickness for most positions...

Perriman isn't very quick...but he does have some straight line speed and excellent size. I am worried about his hands. He breaks off routes a little soon to(but good coaching can fix this).

Happy to see the pub Perriman is getting. It would be nice to see back to back 1st rounders. I think that could help recruiting more than any bowl win. Wish speedy was greeting more. Great player. Have to wonder if Worton would be there too if he wasn't injured.

Worton was my favorite UCF player. Unfortunately, I would say his best 40,if he wasn't injured would be 4.6 range. Only shot would be undrafted free agent, which he still might get.
