Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark clearly expressed his displeasure about the College Football Playoff rankings while insisting Wednesday that his conference's champion should get a first-round bye over any Group of Five champion.

Agree with Yormark, as we heard in '17-'18 "schedules matter"....at least be consistent.

But one thing has become clear, the "CFP" is still no more than an invitational.

The 3 loss Bama getting in is what is roughing up the feathers. They lost to Vandy....VANDY...

Bama kicking out a deserving Miam, and/or a 2nd Big12 team.

If you think about it, it seems best for a team to slide in and skip the conference championship game.

This is what happened in 2017 if anyone remembers. Georgia and Auburn battled in the SEC championship game while Bama had a whole month to rest and get healthy. They were super injured at that time and came in and won the 4 team playoff. That is why one reason UCF claimed the NC as it just wasn't fair for Bama to be selected and had the advantage of skipping an extra game and get healthy.

But, whatever, we all knew with the 12 team playoff we would be bitching about teams ranked 13,14,15 not getting in.

Seems silly not for a conference champ to get in. Maybe not a bye but they should be in.
