Brexit

Except for the fact that in order to trade with those countries Britain will still likely have to follow EU rules.

Don't be fooled- the UK is just as full of socialists as the other bed wetters over there. This was dumb. Boris Johnson just came out and said "Hey, well, we don't want to invoke Article 50, we'll just negotiate our way out!". Well, no. The EU is going to pack your shit and kick you to the curb, so you had better have a plan ready for when Article 50 is immediately demanded.

Maybe this makes sense in some way, but not in the way the Leave party presented. They'll get rid of EU regulations then have to replace them with nearly identical regulations, and then they'll STILL have to go to the EU and re-negotiate all of the terms of trade that they already currently have.

In the meantime the Pound is getting slaughtered. Tons of value is getting wiped off the balance sheets to companies who are doing business there.

This is another reason why direct democracy is idiotic. Less than 4 percent just decided something this major and it was entirely due to turnout. I will take a representative Republic like we have to decide major decisions any day over having majority-wins mob rule.

Coming from you, the oracle of knowledge and wealth on the board, this is hilarious.

You're just mad that I put forth points that make sense, while you put forth insane bullshit that never makes sense and never adds up. In other words, you are the poster child for a Trump voter.

Except the UK represents about 50% of all exports and imports for the EU. They have a lot of leverage here since they can look elsewhere (China) if they don't get the terms they want.

The blame falls on Brussels (EU HQ) in my opinion. They made decisions believing it was best for all of Europe. That's a righteous way of governance except it spurned the breadwinners (UK, France) and created the belief that they're better off alone than being the support structure for failing countries (Greece, Spain, Portugal). I wouldn't be surprised if France leaves as well.

Really? What have you said that makes any sense?

This is your post on the dungeon page

Oh really? The UK was one of the few NATO countries spending at least 2% of GDP on defense, and they were consistently our most consistent operational ally. They by far have the best capability outside of the US in NATO. And now they very well may head into a recession with their currency plunging which will impact their budgets and could erode their defense spending and capability.

NATO needs more countries spending 2%, not less. It WILL weaken NATO.

Do you realize just how stupid that sounds. Tell us some more stuff that could or should happen. What amazes me is that if you're so damn good at knowing what should or could happen, why are you working for a living instead of living fat. You see 85, you're a bullshitter, a used car salesman that repeats what others actually know.

The blame falls on the NCAA in my opinion. They made decisions believing it was best for all of college athletes. That's a righteous way of governance except it spurned the breadwinners (SEC, Big 10) and created the belief that they're better off alone than being the support structure for failing conferences (CUSA, Sun Belt). I wouldn't be surprised if the Pac 12 leaves as well.

The blame falls on FIFA in my opinion. They made decisions believing it was best for all of soccer. That's a righteous way of governance except it spurned the breadwinners (Europe, South America) and created the belief that they're better off alone than being the support structure for failing soccer countries (non-US/Mexico CONCACAF, smaller African nations). I wouldn't be surprised if the US and Mexico leave as well.

Remember when I said Buy Gold..
:) I just made in gold alone, over $400,000 today!!
Also I Shorted the Sterling.. I am doing well..

mach also "shorted the Sterling" which implies that he must have started that position before today, meaning in addition to having $8-10M in gold alone, he is so super wealthy that he had additional free cash to short the Pound.

I'm putting his net worth somewhere in the range of $30-50M.

Not bad for a guy who can't write a coherent sentence.*

Do you and Sir G race your 90 foot yachts en route to the annual AIPAC meetings?
Careful Hitler, they'll cut you out of their cuckservative circle of trust for even mentioning me AIPAC.

Btw we just celebrated the 49th anniversary of when those assholes bombed the USS Liberty

This x1000. All one has to do is looki at the constant idiotic amendments to the Fl state constitution and this Brexit fiasco. If I were the MPs Id consider making their next referendum one to become a representative republic before the British empire is reduced to London suburbs and goat herding Welshmen.

Another brit cuck on CNN saying that the 'educated' and 'wealthy' people voted to remain, while the less educated and rural Brits voted exit. Sound similar to what the media says about Trump Supporters?

Yes, Trump supporters tend to be quite stupid and poor tornado bait trailer-camp white trash. It's practically a prerequisite.

Usually I'm with you but on this I understand the criticism of these people saying "Oh it's just the uneducated and poor doing this!".

First, I don't know why people trying to discredit someone's vote simply because they make less money than others.

Second, they simply look to see if someone has a degree and slap an "educated" label on them and apparently elevate the status of their vote. Yet I know so many dolts who have degrees that aren't worth anything, and I know many people who never went to college yet make a good living, have a good family, and are generally happy.

Pretty much all of England except for London voted to leave.

Did the "uneducated" just make life harder for themselves?

In the short term sure, but in the long term? Probably not.

I can just imagine the Royal Court in London circa 1774 saying "only those uneducated and poor separatists want to leave. They don't even understand how worse off they'll be!"

Who voted for Brexit? According to the Wall Street Journal, two-thirds of Britons who did not finish high school. Who voted against it, in other words, to stay in Europe? Seventy percent of college graduates. Those who voted for Brexit were disproportionately older, white, working class, less educated and poorer. Those who voted to remain in Europe were younger, ethnically diverse, better educated and better off.

I don't think this will have the impact the brexit folks envisioned at all.

Of course the poor and uneducated voted to leave. They're the ones the most negatively affected by globalization. Manufacturing and other blue collar jobs get off-shored while the businesses make more money. The college educated love globalization as it provides more access to new markets and new revenue streams. Just because the uneducated voted in unison does not mean you discredit their vote, it means you need to reevaluate the system because there's a subset of the population that does not see a benefit to the current path.
