I wonder if the dems are wondering whether they should have been so tough on Manchin and Sinema now.

Let’s see if Biden lives up to his pledge of selecting a candidate based primarily on race and gender.

going to be all sorts of House of Cards conspiracy theories as this being a way to get Kamala off the ticket

lol the entirety of the DNC was just calling Manchin and Sinema Jim Crow-loving white supremacists that they vowed to primary, and now they're going to need to beg that they support whoever Biden picks and play nice.

These people don't think.

I highly doubt they block a sc nominee.

Some of those judges actually have good, Constitutional records.

That bodes well for them, even if they are going to be Progressive leaning. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson actually ruled in favor of the Trump administration, where Constitutional or Congressional authority made it reality.

It's difficult to find some 1st and 2nd Amendment related rulings on several of them though. It will be interesting.

As long as they are good on the 4th, 5th, and 6th then I'll take it. My faith in that being the case is low.

Yeah, it does bother me how far we've let things be torn down as of late ... especially in the digital age.

should let the voters decide in mid terms
I disagree. Some courts were purposely designed not to be answerable to the people. That was by design. It was supposed to be more meritocratic than political, but as we've seen from the Justices ... they don't follow politics in a lot of cases.

Heck, the Republicans have appointed a lot of Libertarian Justices, and we now have no less than 3. Only the most recent appointment was a clear Conservative, unlike the prior 2.

Don't care what color the nominee is or what's in their pants - just interpret the constitution as it's written
