Budding pipeline from DP to UCF could be boon for area

After the Gators and Noles are done, there is tons of talent left within a 100 mile circle of this school.

From an earlier interview: "Frost said in his introductory news conference on Wednesday. "We're fast. We play fast. We have fast guys. Those guys are right here to be had, and if I was a fast kid in the State of Florida and I knew we were going to play this type of offense here, this place would look really good to me."

The offense UCF will be running does half the recruiting for you. There are a lot of good football players in the state of Florida that would like to be part of this offense. Not just in the Orlando area, in the whole state.

We need a pipeline from about 4-5 high schools and we are set. The Dr. Phillips pipeline could help both parties. UCF gets good players. UCF's coaching staff helps implement DP's up-tempo offense. DP is trying to copy exactly what Frost wants to do on offense.

Agreed. Don't limit yourself to just one school. Don't forget St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale. Apopka. Mainland. Plenty of high school football powers in Florida with lots of great football players.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant 4-5 schools from the Orange/Seminole/Osceola area.

No problemo man. I know what you mean. Don't forget Lakeland and Seffner-Armwood over in Tampa either. And we got Dredrick Snelson from Flanagan down south too.

Kids want to play in this offense. Hopefully Coach Frost can make it work for us, and it will be a win-win for UCF, and Florida high school football players.

many of you know that I've pounded the table for local athletes on this board for over 10 years and this excellent article is preaching to the choir...local recruiting and building strong relationships with local HS's and then extending it to other top FL programs is a no brainer..... but it's something that GOL didn't even come close to taking advantage of....but GOL certainly was glad that he recruited Bortles from Oviedo wasn't he?

the 2 program changers in the history of UCF football were from Oviedo and Ocala...enough said...

Not only that but friends and family want to see the local kids play which increases attendance. I bet that we average over 40K this year with consistent 40-45K numbers in the next 5 years
