There are also cases where it's still recommended pre-heart attack/stroke though.

This includes people who ...
1) clot very easily, first and foremost, and to a lesser extent ...
2) also see a significant reduction in their BP, especially their second number

The #2 issue can still cause bleeding issues, but #2 with #1 is actually the opposite.

That's me, I"m in both categories, I clot very easily, first and foremost (enough I need a RN to give blood, not an ignorant technician), and 81mg baby aspirin/day reduces my 2nd number by 15 points (because I have Conn's Syndrome).

Both are related to my heavily biased, Native American (Cherokee) Blood, as my endocronologist identified, after I sought a 3rd cardiologist as the first 2 just gave me Beta Blockers and eventually slowed my heart rate in half to no effect (literally almost killed me, and killed some nerves in my hands). The first 2 thought it was caused by my weight (went through 10 different drugs).

My weight only exacerbates the base issue, which is the clotting and Conn's combo. It's common with my blood. I still clot and heal very, very fast at my age, and I've know this since my 20s ... so much so that even dentists are still surprised too (especially when they find out I'm on 81mg of asprin). I never realized how much of an issue it would become later in life, for the opposite reasons ... until a couple of years ago. It went ignored by so many doctors.

So is it just a coincidence that this comes out a week after Israel said that aspirin was effective in treating symptoms from covid?

So, meeting you half-way, I would say it was 'timed conveniently.'

But this has been debated for several years now. Aspirin does thin the blood, unnecessarily for some, possibly many. It's more than just the NASID-stomach issues.

Doctors now fighting back.

Have you seen CNN equating baby aspirin with "synthetic chemicals linked to early death".

Trusted News Initiative all attacked aspirin with vitrol. Timing and negative publicity very strange on this. In reality only a very small segment using aspirin therapy are contraindicated. Everyone else benefits with no GI bleeding issues

In fact, an anticoagulant prophlaxis is *exactly* what we need. With immune evasion, cov2 been eating you up inside for days before presenting with symptoms.

Seriously, what is going on here? They are also back to attacking vitamin D.

Yep, 3rd grader media strikes again.

It's really an individual evaluation. Asprin thin the blood. So it's a consideration. If people have issues clotting, then they shouldn't. As people get older, that's more and more of an issue. But for many people, there is a greater benefit in reducing the chance of a heart attack or, more likely yet, stroke.

Others have the genetic issue of clotting too quickly.
I'm one of them.

Aspirin saved my life with COVID. I took it from day 1 of being diagnosed until I checked in at the hospital. I had zero clotting . None . My friend died of covid and he had zero aspirin and his lungs clotted up. scientific ?maybe not.

there is another study from here in America and in the UK confirms the Israel study as well. I posted it here in another thread.
