Should pull police out of their neighborhoods to save money then put it in paper they are removed so everyone knows it is a police free zone.

The thing is, the fear of getting caught and imprisoned does deter crime. Our society relies on that as we cannot (and will not) fund enough police to actually prevent crimes. When you make irresponsible statements that embolden criminals, whether or not you actually defund police, then you’re going to get more crime. Then you couple that with rhetoric about eliminating jail for non-violent crimes. Because the opportunity for more crime existed in most places already and it was a social balance that was holding it back. But then people get the idea that they won’t get caught and nothing will happen if they do, and you see the upswing. It’s fairly obvious cause and effect
