Cauliflower is now racist

The only valid point that AOC made, which she obviously just doesnt totally understand, is that crop rotation is beneficial to the land. Unsurprisingly, farmers have known this for years and thats why they put soybeans and corn on rotation for plots of land. Not only is it better for the soil, it helps to save on fertilizer expense. Now as far as small community gardens growing vegetables, give me a break. Nothing that these people are doing is on a large enough scale to make one iota of difference for the environment.

Just as a stupid factoid to add: cauliflower and broccoli are not naturally occuring plants. Man cross-bred cabbage with other plants to create them.

Gotta say, I'm glad we have a resident 'Braskan to explain farm stuff to us.

This is what I think she was trying to explain, she sounded incredibly idiotic in that clip. I don't know if she expounded on it, but yes, crop rotation is important to reduce the depletion of specific nutrients.

Its going to be really interesting to see how farming in nebraska evolves over the next few years. I expect to see a lot of acres be used for hemp now that it's legal. Also, and something most people dont realized, is that Nebraska has the perfect soil and climate for growing grapes. I think we are going to see a huge transition away from grains, especially for what smaller farms remain. Niche markets are growing and I could see a lot of people take advantage of that.

She doesn't understand any of this. She rambled this insane nonsense because she really thinks that cauliflower is a white racist veggie of choice and everything in this world must be viewed through the prism of racism and oppression.

This is the same woman (errrr elected congresswoman) who rambled incoherently in a video about how a garbage disposal scares her and how she didn't know what it was.

I'm curious of the thought process someone has to have to even think this stuff up. Is she just trying to think outside the box, or is she really this focused on her cause that everything she sees has to be good or bad?

Or here's a thought: Maybe she was talking about crop rotation in urban community gardens, something farmers have known for centuries.

According to Tucker Carlson, she's "racist" because she thinks that this rotation can include more diverse veggies than just the traditional European crops that we typically see planted over and over and over again in these types of community gardens.

This same woman (errrr elected congresswoman) beat a 14-year, high-ranking Congressman who outspend her campaign by over 10 to 1 for crying out loud. How does that happen with such a ditzy airhead?

If you are curious enough to want to know that answer, you might want to watch the documentary 'Knock Down the House' on Netflix. Some lib documentary film makers decided to follow four nontraditional candidates in their primary races. The four were picked because they represented 'the new-style' Democrats who were going up against the Big Bad DNC Establishment. They knew the four didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning but thought their primary campaigns would, nevertheless, still be compelling to watch.

But they caught lighting-in-a-bottle when one of the four, Cortez, shockingly gave them a female "Rocky" story they could sell to Netflix versus showing it to their friends in the backroom of some beer hall. Having said that, the film is worth a watch if you like politics. Even Republicans who've grown to hate her can actually enjoy the film because it shows an incredibly smug and pompus Democrat incumbent (Crowley) getting his ass kicked on election night.

That night was a bigger upset than when Buster Douglas knocked out Mike Tyson.

Look at the effort this guy put in to defend this total dipshit!

If she's such a goddamn gardening expert and botanist, why didn't she just say "hey, it's best to rotate your crops"? Your insistence that THIS is what she meant is hilarious.

Actually you know what? Keep defending her. The more liberals line up behind nutbags like this who live and die by the worst type of identity politics, the better the chance we don't let them anywhere near levers of actual power.

She's a rookie politician who is recorded by people who ask her about all kinds of stuff every single day.

She says something about community gardening to somebody who's recording it on a cellphone and Tucker Carlson decides it use it to ridicule her on national TV.

This from the same joker who whined all over the place about the 'liberal mainstream media' attacking him by taking past comments he'd made out-of-context. What a weasel!!!

Does being a rookie politician make it more likely that you see racism in veggies and get scared by your garbage disposal?

Got dammit, dude. She's walking around with a folkin' selfie stick self-recording herself. SHE'S VOLUNTEERING THIS SHIT ON HER OWN.

I still don't understand the obsession with her. Freshmen mostly stupid congresscritter that doesn't represent anyone on here.

When you've been conditioned for eight years to bash the President and his Secretary of State and then suddenly find yourself in the awkward position of having to defend Trump's daily shenanigans, you've just got to find someone out there to bash and let off a little steam.

At least AOC, as a freshman Congresswoman, is relevant to some extent. It was amusing to have the Red Hats continuing to obsess over Hillary two years after her last election.

Keep in mind this is coming from a dude who's lucky to walk and talk on his phone.

Derp, derpy, derp. Weak. It's funny how your dumb ass digs in.

Shookboi: "SOMEONE IS RECORDING HER!!! IT'S NOT HER FAULT!!!"

"Um, no, she did this all on her own and volunteered this stuff."

Shookboi: "OH YEAH, WELL THAT'S IMPRESSIVE!!! YOU CAN'T EVEN DO THAT!!!"

I really hope when I'm 78-years old like you I'm not nearly this got damn stupid.

Shookster does it again! Unreal folks. The guy is the king of saying something stupid, digging in, and then trying to get out of comments that he made 3 posts again by changing the entire subject.

On deck: Shookster goes full AOC, agrees that veggies can be racist, and lumps Joe in with Fab as noted KKK racists of the board

AOC could have worded it better but a comment about trying a few non-European veggie choices in your community garden rotation wasn't that bad.

Certainly it wasn't worthy of a Tucker Carlson hatchet job on Fox News. But this isn't out of character since this same network aired a doctored video designed to make Nancy Pelosi look like she was losing it. But this is nothing compared to "mainstream journalism," right guys?

She says dumb shit. Trump says dumb shit. I call both out. Do I hold one to a higher standard? Absolutely. It was just an asinine video that I felt compelled to share.

She's had her own CNN and MSNBC town halls, did a nationwide tour with Bernie Sanders, has a Netflix documentary on her political run for office, has been interviewed about 1,000 times by every MSM news outlet, has pushed the "Green New Deal" that a few D Pres candidates have openly embraced, is the ringleader in the House pushing for impeachment at this very moment, but yea...….why are people paying attention to her?!?! meanies!!!

It was only asinine because most people first saw it being ridiculed by Tucker Carlson on TV.

I would have described it differently but her point - don't keep planting the same, mostly European, crops over and over again in your urban community gardens - was a good one.

Her trouble is when she flippantly throws out examples like cauliflower or cows that she makes herself a target for ridicule by the Right.

And for the record, you say dumb sh*t. 85 says dumb sh*t and Crazyhole says really dumb sh*t. But being regulars here at the WC, I hold you all to a higher standard.

Holy. Baby. Jesus. You really don't know when to STFU. This could have been on Rachel Maddow or Meet the Press and I still would have posted it because it's beyond dumb. I have called out Tucker on here numerous times. It has no bearing that he put it on his show. Dumb is dumb. Quit making excuses.

And your last sentence. What a dumb thing to say.

Lots of people say dumb shit. If I spent my whole life calling out stupid stuff I'd have to make it a full time, the cooler has enough of it as is for me.

Says the guy who started this dumb thread.

I'm not the one parroting his dumb buddy, Tucker Carlson, by taking a nothing and imagining it into a something.

Jesus Christ, can you read? I already stated my stance on this and Tucker.

You really are stupid.

OOOOOH, you called out Tucker "numerous times" for his crap BUT THIS TIME you bought Tucker's trollish crap hook, line, and sinker and shoveled it in here with it's own thread.

In the immortal words of Forrest Gump: "Stupid is what stupid does."

Wow. Wow. And another Wow. This is completely impressive.

Can you please call someone over to your double wide and have them read my posts to you? Clearly what you are doing isn't working.

Like it or not, she is the face of the democrat party. She is celebrated for being a visionary but any normal thinking person can see that she really just isnt very intelligent. This video is just another in a long line of videos where people see them and wonder how in the heck she is a congresswoman.

I honestly wouldnt be surprised to hear here talk about the dangers of volcanoes and then make the case that volcanoes are in predominantly non-white areas, which proves that they are racist in nature.

Both parties need to have their "boogiemen!"

AOC is no more 'The Face' of the Democrat Party than Steve King is 'The Face' of the Republican Party. But both members of Congress are used frequently by the other party to ratchet up the vitriol.

Shookster thinks that a kid having his life ruined over a SMIRK! is just fine and he deserved it, but pointing out what a dipshit an elected congresswoman is can’t be allowed.

What a raging little whiny hypocrite

Lol you’ve used this gif before and you’ve yet to ever use it in a context that remotely makes sense.
