i agree. i think it will show much like this latest release of the study that guns are just tools and the intent of the user is what matters. most people intend to use as defense.

No, it was an embarrassment to the Clinton administration that had passed an assault weapons ban and was engaged in all sorts of statements to the contrary.

Because the Dickey Amendment does not prevent this. The Dickey Amendment only prevents the CDC from recommending gun control measures. It does not prevent studies at all. Anyone saying otherwise is listening to the Progressive media.

Beyond that, civics 101 ... understand any actions by the US government that could be construed as undermining a civil right, such as abortions or bearing arms, could be considered Unconstitutional enforcement. This was one of the reasons cited by the three (3) ATFs for whistleblowing after Feinstein held up a gun runner gun, and the US media was quoting the (now debunked) statistic that legally acquired US guns are used in drug wars, especially in Mexico.

But most Americans don't know know their civics. Hence why they regularly call for government actions that are actually Unconstitutional. Same with commercial actions, such as boycotting companies that sell firearms to adults aged 18-20, when the law does not require 21, and it would be age discrimination to not sell to those 18-20.
