I was using hotels.com to find lodging near UCF for a baseball game this season.

The Celeste Hotel, which I've wanted to try, was $244/night after fees.

Seems quite ridiculous to me for one night.

I realize the rooms are crazy nice but what am I missing here? Has anyone stayed there?

Hotels are really expensive anywhere near anything anyone wants to be at.

But just remember, the "fees" are the tourism tax of which some of the "excess" is going toward our stadium, so you should be happy to pay (or rather, I'm happy for you to pay ;) )

If you want to be in walking distance that’s the best deal. If you go out a little it’s cheaper. That price is about right
