What difference does having a party make? It just places you into a stereotypical and very predictable box. I simply realized that the same things happen no matter if a Republican or Democrat is in office. Economies will always go up and down, abortion will ALWAYS be legal (people from both parties get abortions), illegal aliens will ALWAYS be here b/c AMERICANS give them jobs and profit off of them, (go after those Americans and problem solved), guns will NEVER be banned, and we will ALWAYS be involved in a military conflict in which we are bombing somebody else's country. You see the problem is that there is no longer compromising in the gov't. Its either right or left. Even if its a good bill it may not get passed or voted for just b/c of the party affiliation of the person who made the bill. Why cant we just use parts of socialism and parts of capitalism to make one perfect economy? An economy that uses tax dollars efficiently just 2 ensure AMERICANS have equal access to education and provide ALL Americans health insurance? Who says things ALWAYS have 2 be one way or the other? These 2 political parties is nothing but a big divide and conquer ploy by "the man" or powers that be. I mean its to the point that people are losing friends, relationships and hating people they never met b/c of their party affiliation. Im judt exhausted by the whole Right vs Left movement fueled by Fox news, MSNBC and those who make a living exploiting this war to get ratings, sell books, sell appearances, tv/radio shows etc. I really can go on and on about why Im independent, but im tired of typing and hungry.....actually b4 I eat this taco, I compare Republicans and Democrats to the Bloods and Crips. I agree with you except that last point.

In fact, it's the one reason where I like Trump. He recognizes what things are getting us into. It's why he wants a timetable now that ISIS is defeated.

Education and Healthcare in the US is $2T/year and $2.3T/year, respectively. That's over $4.3T/year. How are we going to pay for that?

Certainly gutting the US 70% of the US military's capability will only net a savings of 30%, around $250B/year.
Same with raising federal taxes to 70% (which equates to over 90% total taxation) on the top 2%, it will only net about $250B/year.

I have complaints about Trump's spending as well, so don't think I'm against the left only.
In all cases, this is utterly sustainable.
