A U.S. cable company that previously tried to buy Time Warner Cable Inc. is now interested in Florida-based Bright House Networks, Bloomberg Business reports.
Charter Communications Inc.
reportedly has been in talks for months to purchase Bright House, which
has a large customer base in Central Florida and a total of 2.5 million
cable subscribers throughout the Sunshine State and several other
states.
Bright House and Charter Communications have agreed to a
potential all-stock deal, which could be worth about $12 billion at the
same per-subscriber value Charter paid last year in a deal with Comcast Corp., Bloomberg reports.
