Define "chick flic." I wouldn't consider Bridemaids a chick flic. It was women acting like men. It wasn't really funny(although the cast was amazing) as much as crass. Clueless is a great movie. So is Mean Girls. If any Romcom is a chic flick then High Fidelity is the standard by which all such movies should be judged. But if Nicholas Sparks movies are the main barometer for chick flics then I'm out (I did cry at the end of The Notebook, though. However, I also cried during Rudy, My Dog Skip and The Bridge to Terabithia).

It wasnt, but I remember refusing to see it because all the tv trailers for it made it out to be a classic chick flick. Friend finally convinced me to see it, thought it was pretty damn funny.
