Clemson Tigers banned from social media during season

CLEMSON – No Twitter.

No Facebook.

No Instagram.

No Snapchat.

So how in the world are Eric Mac Lain and D.J. Reader going to function without social media?

“A big piece of my life has been removed,” Mac Lain admitted.

“That’s how I get most of my information about the world,” Reader said.

Truth be told, Mac Lain and Reader can still glean all the information they want via social media – they just can’t comment on it.

The Clemson football team’s social media shutdown went into effect on Aug. 3, the first day of fall camp. Players don’t have to delete their social media accounts, but are forbidden from being active on them until season’s end.
