I am not a huge oleary fan but this game is NOT on the coaches. Drop passes (thank you 82 and patti) and our defense giving up is on the players. Play call was actually great this game and drives were stopped by the players not executing. If you disagree, you did not watch the game

Coach Key the game is not over yet, stop posting from the sideline

Watch the game... 6 drops stopping drives in the 1st half! 2 person foul calls keeping uconn drives alive. I am sure they were coached to drop balls and make dumb plays. Oh, and running the ball out of the end zone on a kick off.. WIt, safety. Yeah, all on the coaches lol

And where do they learn fundamentals and field awareness from?

You do realize that's all discipline that coaches are supposed to instill in them

I think you are spot on!

Stop it with the players. What is coach going to be upset because he trusted them to produce? Is that guilt method the staff sells when recruiting players? I trusted you to be good and you let me down? Wow. This is college football not the NFL.

Looks like a combination of things. Coaching, lack of talent, injuries and youth.

Look at the rushing and receiving stat line.

The running backs are 4th and 5th stringers.

The WRs are freshman, walk ons, former QBs and Oldham who just returned

This roster has very little talent. Hire Godfrey to recruit

Please post what you were posting the past 3years. I guess our coaches forgot how to do their jobs. I guess starting more freshman than 99% of colleges is normal. I guess YOU as posters know more about our program than the ad/coaches... Yep, you have all the answers.

A team is only as strong as its leaders. Have you ever played team sports - at a college level? How about the military?

This is ALL about coaching. Sure there's dropped balls, missed blocks, etc - but there is NO excuse to go ZERO wins even with an entirely freshman team straight out of high school.

I'm so tired of the "blame game."

The kids are just young and inexperienced.
We were also spoiled with the experienced wide receiver talent we had in 2013 and 2014.

As I said, we'll know by 2017 how good the past two classes have been, as they become upperclassmen.

In any case, I'm sure GoL is gone by season's end.
I'd still like to give him until around this time next year, but that's likely not to happen now.

The prior 3 years (or 4 out of the last 5) matter nothing to most.

Did you not watch the FIU, Furman, and Tulane games? Coaching is obviously the problem. Please don't destroy our program by allowing this staff to continue.

6 games in and players are not improving against teams they should be able to compete with. I see a mix of frustrated and ineffective players. At this point you need a coach that can motivate a team to keep pushing forward, even the most faithful GOL supporters do not view him as a motivator. It will likely be a winless season, even the ESPN announcers believe it.
