a 9-3 bama in at #11. They don't have to play in the conference championship game so sneak in the playoffs.

Sounds like the 2017 season where Bama won the NC but didn't even win their side of the conference. How does that work again?

What if UNLV wins? How a playoff run could change everything for program

Ugh, you mean I have to watch a Tulane-Army game now? :p Am I that desperate to watch football?

Just joking.

I saw someone mention Odom from UNLV on another post and went off read some articles on him. A perfect candidate it seems.

Interesting that Marshall, our once heated rival, is in their Conf Champ Game. Go Thundering Turds!

Maybe a OC or DC on one of the other teams playing. Maybe Dabo. :p Who the fudge knows. Should be interesting.

The CFP show on Sunday will pick the 12 teams in the playoffs.

  • Selection Day: Sunday, Dec. 8 at noon- 4 p.m.

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army's goal every year is to reach December with a chance to win a trophy by beating Navy.
The Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy will indeed be on the line when the Black Knights and Midshipmen meet on Dec. 14 in one of college football's famed rivalry games.
But this season, Army can pick up some additional hardware along the way.

fyi, Marc Daniels just dropped a hint on the radio that Odom is a possibility in so many words.

GO UNLV !!! Gonna suck watching that smurf turf tonight.

Odom's HC career, plethora of mediocrity and 1 good year. And tonight is looking like a Gus kind of score.

I can’t escape the feeling that there’s no way TMo is going to make this work. I think he has missed too many critical deadlines. The fans, the alumni, and boosters have been told nothing. I truly hope he makes me eat my words and I will definitely eat crow. But it doesn’t feel that way right now. It feels like we have somebody in charge that doesn’t know what they are doing and are out of their league. This is not how a major conference coaching search goes. I’m totally afraid we’re going to end up with either another friend of his, or another retread that he believes can bring us back.

I heard Bobby Boucher might be interested in the Job but only if TMo contacted him.

I watched pretty much all of that UNLV-Boise game. I just want to add that RB Jeanty has the same qualities of RJ Harvey. Except Jeanty has a better offensive line and Qb. Jeanty was in BEAST-MODE last night. He hobbled the final few minutes what looked like an ankle sprain. They were running him too much at the end in my opinion chasing records rather than keeping him healthy for the CFP.

Interesting tidbit:

Jeanty’s 2,497 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns are both school records. He trails only Oklahoma State’s Barry Sanders (2,628 yards, 1988 season), Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon (2,587, 2014) and UCF’s Kevin Smith (2,567, 2007) on the all-time list.

Jeanty will need 132 yards in the College Football Playoff to topple Sanders’ record.

Compared to Kevin Smith, Jeanty has had a light workload. In 2007 Smith rushed 450 times, Jeanty is at 344.

Does Boise have any other running backs? Jeanty was limping at the end. Is it worth it? A measly individual record over a possible National Championship? Jeanty was in beast-mode, he was delivering a lot of hits, but he was also getting hit very hard. He is a tough guy, but I was like...If I was coach, he would have been out when he came up limping after a scrum. They kept him in. They won though and played great. It's gonna be interesting for the CFP. Watching last night's game has me maybe pulling for Boise. They had the crowd behind them and the weather was very cold.

He’s better than RJ at rushing. RJ is good in pass pro so he’ll be a 3rd down back in NFL. Jeanty probably gets drafted to start. Depending on who drafts him.

Has a couple weeks to rest. He’s good. I don’t think their defense will allow them to win more than 1 CFP game anyway. His record is what people will talk about.

Season coming to an end. Soak in all that's rest. Championship Saturdy!

Pulling for A-State, Miami (just to fug with lobolame), Texas, Marshall, Oregon, SMU.

Kinda interesting that a Past Big 12 team can win the SEC, a past Pac12 can win the Big10, and a past pac12 (who was picked to finish last preseason) can win the Big12, and a ex-American team can win the ACC. It's a mixed up world we live in! What's up is down, and vice versa.
