College Gameday is going to Philly for the Temple v ND game.

When Temple joined the conference I honestly never thought they would be relevant in football. I thought they were joining simply to be a part of a solid conference for their basketball program. Many said the same about UCF basketball not belonging and just being here for the football. Would be nice if we could flip that script and become relevant in basketball in addition to football the same way Temple has. Well done.

After our president left for Arizona, everything really changed. She wasn't against football or anything, but our current president (from Indiana) is much more engaged, and understands the importance of college football as the front porch of your university.

Happy for Temple's success this season. Hope you guys are able to keep Coach Rhule long term, the AAC needs to keep as many up and coming coaches in conference to help with longterm stability. [cheers]

Oh, and concerning redundant threads. I do wish people would keep similar threads all in the same one. all 2000 fire O'leary threads could have been in the same thread, with now coach hire prospects taking their place. It really makes this forum confusing to read with so much redundancy. I know some forum moderators (even on rivals) put all similar threads together. Probably too much work though. And, in the big scheme of things it really doesn't bother me that much. It is what it is. Go Knights! and, GO TEMPLE...beat Notre Dame

Yeah i think we might have the only program in the state that has never made it to the Sweet 16. Even FGCU did it. *sigh*

Another school that will pass UCF on the expansion short list. Cincy, Memphis, byu and now temple ahead.

That's great news. UCF can attest to the importance of having a President devoted to athletics.

It's an exciting season for Temple. I'm sure everyone is excited about the coach. Do think it's all him or is it more about some key players. Thought your QB was very dangerous last year, and this year. The RB has to be a big surprise. And strong defense. I hope it's not one player or coach but something sustainable for Temple.

Bummer that GameDay won't be on Temple's campus...but I'm so glad they won't be in a giant parking lot of a NFL stadium 12 hours before kickoff.

Setting up on Independence Mall should be pretty cool though.

No, it's most definitely a group effort. It's as much our DC as it is our HC, players, etc. The offense still isn't quite there, but they're not losing games for us.

I haven't looked at the stats but Temple looks to have the best D in the AAC. Nothing extreme, just good fundamental D. I think they will keep you in the ND game but it's going to come down to your QB and RB to do enough to win the game. They looked alittle flat against ECU IMHO.
