haven't posted since Thursday because the performance (except by Justin and the wr's) on the field and especially by the coaching staff was literally not worth my time...and I was hoping it would just get swept under the rug, that no one would really notice, and that we would come out as a different team against Stanford...

well, it was noticed (see attached)....and George is in the spotlight again...except it's for the wrong reasons....as a loser instead of as a winner...all I can say is I agree...he needs to be discredited for the sh**** performances just as he took credit for the good ones...this one's for you George...congrats on your performance as AD and HC last Thursday!

From the article:

"UCF: What the heck, Knights? This isn't how coach George O'Leary's tenure as interim athletic director was supposed to start. Central Florida lost at home to Florida International 15-14 on Thursday night. Yes, a program just two years removed from a Fiesta Bowl win lost at home to a team that has two winning seasons in its history. FIU got the win as Matthew Wright's late field goal attempt was blocked. Next up for UCF is a trip to Stanford, which will be looking to regroup from an embarrassing performance against Northwestern -- 0-2 seems more likely than not."

UCF was the popular name in the offseason on the short list of getting the call up to the Adults Table and GOL lays this egg....this Program can't afford to lose momentum. He's always been a below average gameday coach when he didn't have a special talent like Bortles to bail him out.

We need to stop making excuses for regressing back to our old ways. Ucf should be always moving forward and a loss to fiu is not acceptable now that we are on the stage to finally become a team that matters.

They lost to Northwestern. We lost to FIU. Nothing else needs to be said to explain the differences between those two losses.

True...as the #21 ranked team lost to a team that went 4-12 in conf play the last 2 years.

The unranked team lost to a team that only won 4 games last year but returned one of the better defenses from their conf with lots of returning starters.

Bottom line, both favorites lost. It happens.

Exactly. Both UCF/FIU and Stanford/Northwestern had very similar spreads. Stanford wouldve been favored over FIU week 1 by 24+ most likely

The comparison doesn't really hold up. Both bad losses, to be sure. But Stanford was playing a P5 school 2,000 miles from home. UCF let freaking FIU come into BHNS and dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Sickening, I can't wait until there's another game to talk about.

Regardless of FIUs season we still can't let them beat us if an invite is on the line. I'm sure Stanford at home will not let a g5 school like ours embarrass them. We have been set back 10 years because of this.

GOL's inconsistency continues. I really think it's time for a young energetic GOOD X & O's coach! I don't think Brent Key is they guy. Of course if we win the Conf title my statement becomes null and void.
