Cliffs: 17 year old Valdosta student Kendrick Johnson found dead inside a rolled-up gym mat in gym on Jan. 10, 2013. Lowndes County Sheriff's Office ruled Johnson's death a freak accident, saying he fell into the upright mat while trying to retrieve a tennis shoe and suffocated. Georgia Bureau of Investigation agreed after their autopsy. Over the last 2 years parents and Benjamin Crump have alleged he was murdered. Private pathologist concluded that he died of blunt force trauma to the neck. Alleged attacker was star LB and son of FBI agent. FSU finally withdraws offer. Supposedly Anonymous may have released a video but I didnt see it.

I read this the other day. The thing is, the lawsuit names like 70 people and the police determined that the kid wasn't involved or at the very least didn't find enough evidence that it was anything more than a ridiculous accident.

I bet if he was a 5*, he'd be enrolled already

"police determined that the kid wasn't involved or at the very least didn't find enough evidence that it was anything more than a ridiculous accident."

Well as we know, there's no possible way small town police can be full of shit when there's potential involvement of a star football player who happens to be the son of an FBI agent.

I hear you. Supposedly, the guy was doing a back flip or something. The whole thing sounds fishy as hell, but the fact that the police did nothing compiled with the fact that the parents named so many people is just weird.

And yes, if he was a 5*, they would have looked past that.

Such a bizarre case: "The pathologist also discovered that Johnson's organs had been removed and his body was stuffed with newspapers."

WTF?

Watch the whole thing. Especially the surveillance footage at the end.
Is the CNN report posted anywhere? I just can't take a computer voice from Anonymous seriously. Not sure why something like this couldn't just be done with a real person talking? Not like the video is illegal in any way.

Definitely fishy but not that video is too conspiratorial for me to form an opinion.

Here's the CNN story regarding the footage. Quick google search shows a bunch of other CNN stories as well.
From back in 2013 as well:

1.) Coroner slams handling of Kendrick Johnson case

"I was not notifedi n (sic) this death until 15:45 hours. The
investigative climate was very poor to worse when I arrived on the
scene. The body had been noticably (sic) moved. The scene had been
compromised and there was no cooperation from law enforcement at the
scene. Furthermore the integrity of the evidence bag was compromised on
January 13, 2013 by opening the sealed bag and exhibiting the dead body
to his father," wrote Lowndes County Coroner Bill Watson in a report
dated January 22.

"I do not approve of the manner this case was handled. Not only was the
scene compromised, the body was moved. The integrrety (sic) was breached
by opening a sealed body bag, information necessary for my lawful
investigation was withheld," he said.

2.) Georgia teen Kendrick Johnson's death was not accidental, family's autopsy finds

That autopsy, conducted June 15, found
blunt force trauma to the right neck and soft tissues, "consistent with
inflicted injury." It was conducted by Dr. William R. Anderson with
Forensic Dimensions in Heathrow, Florida.

"This
is unexplained -- most very, very likely inflicted, as opposed to
something he caused himself, inflicted by another -- and therefore needs
to be investigated as an open homicide investigation," Anderson said.

"I've
never had a case that I can recall where the prosecution actually was
told that this may well be a homicide -- the prosecution being the
state, the police and so forth -- and then they didn't bother
prosecuting. It's mystifying," he added.
Anderson's
finding supports the narrative of the initial patient care report,
written by EMTs with the South Georgia Medical Center Mobile Healthcare
Service on January 11, the day Johnson's body was discovered. That
report said, "bruising noted to the right side jaw."

However,
a January 25 report by the Valdosta - Lowndes County Regional Crime
Laboratory cited "no signs of blunt force trauma on Johnson's face or
body."

The autopsy results released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation May 2 identified "no significant injuries."

Sad that it takes National Signing Day fiasco to bring this out to more people. Yeah, I know CNN has been on this story, but damn.

My thoughts too. What is wrong with this country? This is national news not because the kid is dead, but because the accused didnt get a football scholarship.

I am willing to bet there are threads out there on the Auburn and Tennessee boards arguing that the kid deserves a chance until he is indicted by the grand jury.

The whole thing is frustrating. I can't help but think of those small town rape cases that come to light involving star athletes or sons of local officials. You feel for all those stories were people feel like they aren't being heard.

Then I just saw this article. Last week Kendrick's parents were in court on misdemeanor charges related to a 2013 protest over the circumstances surrounding his death.

Was media booted from trial of Kendrick Johnson's

But really why did FSU have to wait until signing day to pull the offer? I mean do they really need any more negative publicity regarding their football teams and brushing things under the rug in criminal proceedings.

After all of the Jameis rape stuff which may or may not have happened, but FSU took a black eye on the handling. Why didn't they run from the kid the moment there was an allegation? That is what is inexplicable here.

Seeing those other articles, it seems there was more than just a little smoke.

When you realize the victim's lawyer has his picture hanging in the lobby of the law school, you get "the full picture."
