Cure Bowl attendance prediction:

40k sounds right, a few additional fickle thousand just for the ability to drink throughout the stadium

Just be prepared for the local paper and local/national media to rip on UCF fans for playing in a "half empty" stadium in their own town for a bowl game.

UCF had problems getting 20,000-25,000 PAYING ticketed customers to home games (not counting students)...and now with students long gone for the holidays...it might be hard for UCF to get those same 25,000 paying customers back for a bowl game...and if UCF can attract 2,000 students to this game (who have to pay for their tickets)...that would be a victory.

Would be nice if the charitable aim of the Bowl could lure additional people. Who can't get behind a game that benefits cancer research regardless of who is playing?

Board members knew that each college bowl game donates to a charity. However, most fans are unaware of which charitable causes are being supported. To separate this bowl from the rest, they wanted to give the public the chance to support the game as well as a significant cause. To do this it was decided the cause would be permanently incorporated into the game title. As a result, the Cure Bowl was born.

Unfortunately, Laura Goldstein will not be able to experience the bowl game that she helped inspire. She lost her long and hard fought battle with breast cancer on April 20, 2011. Another devastating loss hit close to home when on March 24, 2015, OSF Board CFO Sandi Breitenstein passed away from stage IV liver cancer. Laura, Sandi and others who will lose their battle against cancer today, tomorrow, and the days to come continue to motivate OSF to make the AutoNation Cure Bowl presented by Florida Hospital a success.

I have about 40 people going who either dropped season tickets or never went at all to UCF games. I am going to go out on a limb and say 53K

I hope the announced ticket sales are high, they're coming up with a whole new approach to attacking cancer with a virus rather than chemo and every dollar thrown into this towards various types of cancer is important. Too many women are dying from breast cancer. The new approach is very hopeful with an eventual vaccine given in the future to stop tumors dead in their tracks. We might actually see cancer defeated in our lifetime :)

Actual attendance will probably be between 25-30k depending on weather.

All cancers matter.

Thinking Positive...48K. No reason it cannot happen unless the Negative Nancies of the world start making excuses, putting the game down, and causing a negative vibe.

I can't see it getting over 30,000. Why would it be higher than a UCF home game? If it is, then great!

I'm hoping that some fans want to attend a Holiday Bowl game for a good cause

The Cure Bowl people need to really push that.

Is this bowl game about curing meats or diseases? That will help my prediction.

8k Arkansas State fans...really? I'd be impressed if they bring 2k.

This is the biggest bowl game ever for this program...as they have only played in the GoDaddy Bowl (mobile, AL) or the bowl game in New Orleans prior.

ASU fans are enjoying their run of winning 7 out of their last 8 games...and winning their conf title outright for the 4th time in 5 years.

ASU will bring a nice contingent down for this Saturday (favorable date) bowl game.

ASU finished 2nd in SunBelt Attendance (behind Appalachian State)
