I figured this would be a good opportunity to hang out with fellow Knights. I got a link from the D.C. United box office to purchase tickets in the visitors section (318) for $22.75 + tax. That's a pretty good deal. Here's the link:

Code: OCSC

Please post here if you're going to the game so we can perhaps plan a little get together before the game starts.

Go Knights and Go City!!!!

I'll be there. I'm taking my son for a late Spring break trip. We fly in at about 10am and would appreciate suggestions for lunch and dinner. We're staying near Reagan National and will be taking the metro in to the city and the game. Let me know if/where there's any get together. Any suggestions on things to do or see in the city for 6 or 7 hours?

How old is your son?

Ah ok, glad I asked.

Since you're going to be over by the DC united stadium, for food and drinks I'd check out H st NE. Metro in to china town and transfer to red line and get off at union station. Walk east on F st for a few blocks and then up to H st. There's some great places to hang out there, a bar w/ bocce ball (vendetta), or mini golf (H st country club), or a biergarten (biergarten haus). If you like mussels, check out granville moores at 12th and H.

If you'd like to kill a few hours and don't want the crazy smithsonian crowds, the hirshhorn is an art museum on the mall, I enjoy it and i'm not huge into art. The portrait gallery is also nice, that's in china town.

if you want to see more neighborhoods, rent two capital bikeshares and bike through town. There are some good bike lanes, if the weather is good it's the best way to see DC.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the bike idea. We can take them to the stadium and leave them there after the game and take the metro back to our hotel right?

yes, you can ride them from any bikeshare dock to the one nearest the stadium and dock them there. You get charged for the time that you have them undocked. East capital st has the bike lane through capitol hill, the bikeshare dock near the stadium, i think, is at 19th st and east cap.
