Have things become more routine a week after the transition?

"We got a good start this week, made some adjustments offensively and defensively. Tomorrow will be a better day."

What happened on Saturday?

"Communication breakdowns and allowing the big play. It spiraled from there. Three easy scores they had. That's where we've got to get better with the secondary and we need to do more things with the running game to keep the ball longer."

What was the body language like early?

"It was like a body blow. It didn't knock us down, but it was a body blow. Our second possession, got some running game going, then hitting the upright (on the FG kick). You've got to bounce back."

Marc says how rare it was to hit both uprights.

"It was telltale of the day. We still have confidence in him."

Barrett says the bottom line was lack of execution.

"It was a lack thereof as far as finishing."

Offensively, what changed? A little hurry-up, some pistol.

"We're just trying to utilize our personnel as best as possible, change some things up. Break some tendencies. We'll continue to do that. Credit to Coach Key for putting that together. Maybe this week we'll have some other wrinkles. We need to hold on to the football to help our guys out."

What was different for him on Saturday?

"The refs kept telling me to get off the field. He almost threw a flag. I have a history of doing that. At the same time, I'm trying to work them to get a call for our guys. It felt like riding a bike again. Trying to help the coaches out. I thought both guys did a good job calling the game, and Mike on special teams. It comes down to execution."

On his homecoming at Cincinnati.

"I have family members. My brother came in from Buffalo, I haven't seen him in a year. My former trainer when I played there. He had gotten inducted into the athletic hall of fame, that was a highlight. My family got to meet him. He kept me healthy. He said he was proud of me, but I'm also proud of him. I can't say enough good things about Bill Walker. He said keep your head up and stick with the plan."

Commercial break.
