I love it when Hollywood is critical of itself. I also remember Steven Spielberg state he wouldn't have had Roy Neary leave his family, had he had kids when he made the movie. So James Cameron stating this ... just hits home for me as well.

I get it ... a lot of
'blockbusters' are where many people want to
'escape reality.' For me, I don't. I like reality. I like real situations even in an alternate or future reality. The comics and various SciFi is
'too much' for me at times. At least Star Wars is purposely more for
'teenagers,' and they rarely
'hide' that fact.
I'm a guy that love
'The Expanse,' and not just for the realistic physics, but real, plausible, sociological future as well. I guess that's why I like Cameron's work, for the most part.
