collection points for Republicans tears are being mobilized now. Check back for collection points.

got blown out in the suburbs and by college educated voters.

Trump's behavior and rhetoric is starting to catch up to the GOP. If he isn't impeached turnout for mid terms will be up with younger voters bc of how daily the madness is

Lol- oh noz!

Democrats win Governor races in deep blue state and blue-purple state- THE GOP IS DOOMED!!!

What a hilarious overreaction.

It's a positive occurrence for the middle. Hopefully the same occurs at the midterms. I'm hoping for the GOP to abandon Trump as the candidate but Trump runs anyways. The Democrats are having their own civil war with identity politics, the Bernie crowd, and the establishment. It sets itself up for a moderate third party to make an impact; Libertarians get your shit together and put someone out there that's at least mostly normal and can generate mainstream support.

Lol. Dems won Dem state governorships.

The GOP has won all the special elections for Congress since Trump was elected. That must mean Trump is the greatest ever!!!

Jersey is as blue as NY, No surprise there at all. Va. is also left of center blue, very little surprise. If Republican Senators continue to act like liberal Dems no reason to keep em. The only way there could have been a surprise yesterday would be Republicans winning in either place.

it wasn't just the Governorship in VA that's a bad sign for the GOP, they got housed in the Legislatures.

Weren't they getting shellacked in 2016 in the state legislatures?

So are they just regressing to the mean after getting curb stomped in 2016? It's 2017, how many elections are being held exactly? Way too early to make anything out of this.

The Democratic Party will hit a new nadir in state legislative seats after suffering more losses in November’s elections, highlighting the devastation up and down the party across the nation.

Republicans will control 4,170 state legislative seats after last week’s elections, while Democrats will control 3,129 seats in the nation’s 98 partisan legislative chambers. Republicans picked up a net gain of 46 seats in Tuesday’s elections, while Democrats lost 46 seats, according to the latest vote counts from The Associated Press.

This matters bc 2020 is a census year and districts will be redrawn again. I hope the SCOTUS decision means that gerrymandering is curbed. But for sure Virginia is important and having the governorship matters for house & senate elections in 18 and 20.

Republican insiders, have shot themselves in the foot. They promised Obamacare repeal, didn't do it, promised to do tax cut, Senate says it is dead on arrival. Problem is Beltway republicans are the same as Moderate democrats. The only good news is every time there is a special election, we keep replacing the swampers out with conservatives.

There is not a meaningful race in VA for 2018 at either Senate or House control.

The D's have to defend a ton of seats in red states; some of which broke huge for Trump. They're on the defensive in 2018, not the other way around.
