To me, it's an OK song but didn't think it was all that; definitely not enough to become the official 2017 summer song (personally I think Stay by Alessia Cara was a lot catchier and more deserving of the title). But then again, it's got massive appeal internationally--especially all of Mexico, Central America, and South America. So even though it's not my cup of tea, I can see how the song got to where it is.

I'm not into the boom chicka boom boom music, but then again I'm a racist.
Can't stand reggaeton myself; completely unoriginal. Not only was the reggaeton beat lifted from the song "Dem Bow" by Shabba Ranks, but even the name of the genre itself includes the word "reggae" in it.

It was already a huge hit but then the Biebs joined in on the remix

It's the icebreak for white women everywhere with their Zumba instructor

What is Despacito? Is it the Antonio Banderas movie from the 90's?
That's strange, the whole time I thought it was this:

Gazpacho

It was tolerable the first time I heard it. Less so the 5th time I heard it an hour later. Now, after hearing it 32,409 times over the last 14 days, I can say I truly hate this song.
