sure can, probably easy to mix up when in the heat of the moment though. i suggest not putting yourself in a position where either might be deployed against you.

on behalf of everyone with common sense, since as y'all can't seem to explain the difference between a machine gun, a semiautomatic AR-15, and an "assault rifle", we're gonna defer the question back to you and wait for a satisfactory answer.

This is a terrible situation.

But why is this kid being elevated as some example of corrupt policing and brutality?

He was being arrested on an outstanding warrant and tried to get away and take off in his car. That lead to an inexcusable and deadly mistake from the officer. I don’t think the cop should be out on the streets patrolling anymore and it seems like it’s a good chance an involuntary manslaughter charge comes from this. But this kid created the circumstances that got him killed. If we keep downplaying his role in this it’s a missed opportunity for people to learn that you do not try to flee when you’re being arrested. Absolutely nothing good has ever happened by running from the police.

If it is shaped like a gun and I have to make a split second decision in order to stop a high speed police chase from happening, I could see myself screwing it up. It’s nad all around. The dummy never should have put her in that situation and she should be better trained. There was just recently a chase in Georgia where the car was pulled over then took off again. The passenger ended up shooting three officers. The outcome for the officers In Minnesota could have been similar.

Who the hell is elevating this horrible situation as an example of corrupt policing or police brutality? Talk about creating false equivalencies!

This is nothing more and nothing less than an example of two back-to-back stupid decisions. One by the kid and one by the police officer. The difference is the the police officer’s stupid decision involved a gun.

In the heat of the moment, I can see the mistake happening. I don't know about this case, but what happens is often not so much thought as a quick reaction to what is happening.

We live in a world where untrained civilians are expected to remain calm and must obey a cacophony of sometimes contradictory commands yelled at them while at gun point, and one mistake means death.

But anytime a trained cop "fears for their life" or "grabs the wrong gun" they face no repercussions.

The key is yelling “taser, taser” for the body cam first.
