I'm having a hard time believing there is in fighting over the objections. I think Mcconnel is privately endorsing this effort. I think they desperately what to hold the MAGA voters and this is all scripted and has the blessing of the GOP leadership....

Cold Hearted, Oligarchs maybe but not dumb. I was surprised at how well they did in the House. They've certainly manipulated the base to vote against their own best interest in the name of social issues like immigration paranoia, irrational fear of Socialism and God... I've always said Ted Cruz as president could possibly be more scary than Trump because he is very intelligent...

I'm not a big believer in trickle down economics. I and likely most of the people on this forum would probably benefit from the tax cuts and other fiscal policy as administered by the GOP however I believe the vast majority of Trump supporters are not.
I think they are more concerned about social issues and vote (arguably ill informed) based these issues while the ball is being moved on other issues they are not paying attention to. I don't believe we have this pending doom of Socialism, over run of immigration and other hot button issues Trumps base is concerned about.

Let me ask you about immigration. In a time when most of the immigrants to this country are on some form of social assistance, we have a scarcity in open jobs for unskilled and trade labors, and we are going further in debt to assist the people that are already here, do you think it is unreasonable for people to be concerned about bringing in a bunch of new people into the same labor market and at the same economic condition?
Or do you think they aren’t concerned, they are just racist?
I think Immigration has to be properly managed. I also think racism has been a major component used to discriminate and as a policy.
You avoided answering my question about your view of the people that have been misled by Republican politicians today.
