"From TV rights deals to the Rose Bowl's demands to potential realignment, change is in the air"

When will it start? There seems to be a split among FBS as to go with a renewal/extension of ESPN's contract starting in 2023 and waiting another 3 years to go out on the open market and start in 2026.

Will it impact current conference TV deals? With more opportunity for playoff spots, that means that more regular season games become important and the CCGs even more so. Do those deals get renegotiated?

What about the Rose Bowl? Will it stick to its timeslot and possibly get left out of the new CFP, or it will it cave?
NUGGET: quarterfinals of the new CFP will be Jan. 1 or 2, according to Dodd. "It's mind-boggling to consider the Rose's best position in an expanded playoff may be hosting an annual quarterfinal. Those games are slated for Jan. 1 (or Jan. 2 when New Year's Day falls on a Sunday). " But it doesn't sound like they have as much pull as they did 10 years ago. ""If the Rose Bowl insists on accommodations, it's going to find itself on the outside looking in," said one high-ranking official close to the expansion process."

Will this lead to a new governance structure (again)?

What about conference structure? Will this lead to single divisions across all conferences? (i think so.)

Could players get paid to appear in the CFP? "Can [CFP participants], if they graduate, walk away with an additional $20,000 or $30,000?" another Power Five AD suggested. "I know the CFP committee is talking about those kinds of things. … At the end of their careers, they get a check for whatever. Those kinds of things are the type of things we're going to have to consider."
