In the interview I posted on Monday, I asked Donnie about the weight status of Justin McBride. He didn't mention his weight like he did with Tacko, but on the updated roster he's listed as 6-10, 325. Keep in mind, official weights, particularly for those with size issues, should be taken with a huge grain of salt. We're not just talking weight: A.J. Rompza was always listed taller. I know at one point last year, Donnie mentioned something about hoping for a 50 pound or more weight loss. I'm not sure we're seeing that.

With an influx of talent and a promising young player like Tacko, you wonder if Justin will be able to carve an expanded role.

Anyway, here was Donnie's quote about Justin:

"He's made strides. He's doing better. He has lost weight, but he has lost some inches off his body. He's physically gotten himself in better shape. We still want more. We're always going to want more. The best thing for him is having a chance to play against a big guy every day. Tacko is going to help him and he's going to help Tacko with a big physical body... I think Justin has made strides. He's improved a bunch. The game is starting to slow down more for him now going into his junior year. As I mentioned earlier, big guys it just takes a little more time. Conditioning will be a huge factor for him as he continues hopefully to take a big step for us."
