This probably has already been discussed in here before, but now it benefits me so I'll pay attention this time.

Haven't lived in Orlando since graduation in 02' and usually only go up for football games or Disney with the family. This time I'm heading up for the Rolling Stones concert. Looking for a place to do some drinking before the show. What places do you guys recommend? Looking for a place with some good food, nice drink specials, and fun environment. Going with my dad, aunt, uncle, and cousin so they are a bit older. Not really looking for a college crowd.

Also does anyone know if there is a shuttle that takes you from downtown to the stadium, or should we just cab/uber it?

Yes, there is a shuttle that will run you from downtown to the CB. The college crowd really doesn't show up until late at night and there are a bunch of good places to go. Harry Buffalo is great, as is Ember. The Basement is good, too.

With all them old folks, you should hit up a Piccadilly. Eff happy hour, you should rush the early birds, you might see half the RS crowd there.

Latitudes does 3-4-1 happy hour from 5-9 on fridays. Probably the best happy hour special downtown but they don't have food. There's a new Grafiti Junction on church street which is good but I don't remember what their happy hour special is. That's probably your best bet.

You should go to Red Light Red Light and hang with the other self-loathing hipsters.

Since you have such a mixed crowd, you might want to try one of the places that's more like a restaurant than the straight up bars. Schumann's Jager House, Ceviche, Church Street Tavern, Frank & Steins, etc.

We took Frogerz parents for a happy hour/dinner at Ember and they really enjoyed it. They aren't really lahdedah city people so we picked a place that doesn't have a crazy weird menu and has cheap Miller Lite.
