some dumb british girl had the idea to kayak down the amazon. she gets a bad feeling about it all, even she even tweeted she would probably die. she decides to continue down her path anyways. she gets tourtured/raped/killed. other countries are so great.

I think Wayne's original post has more to do with the fact that some people run willy nilly towards danger without fully thinking of the potential consequences. Yes, bad shit does happen everywhere, but you also have to use some degree of common sense. For example, a while liberal BLM supporter, regardless of intent, probably shouldn't be walking around inner city Chicago at 3 in the morning under any circumstance by themselves.

Leisure travel is fine, but it's not like she decided to go zip lining at a 5 star resort with lots of security. Again, probably not the smartest idea for any woman to go to an impoverished area of the world alone to thrillseek.
