Saw this thread on USF board today. Hmm interesting. A few posters think he would do well in Frosts offense. If he got a hardship waiver could play right away.

There's been a bunch of rumors throughout early December on 2015 Tampa Hillsborough High 4 star Dual Threat with rocket arm Virgibia Tech QB Dwayne Lawson (who almost committed to play at USF) of transferring back to play near home due to some hardships and to take care/raise and be near his child and mother of his child here in Tampa.
When Justin Fuente got to Virginia Tech the rumors got so loud he had to publicly deny them and say he was staying.
Well flash forward to this weekend, Fuente hand chose and landed the no 1 JUCO QB in America and hand chose Jerod Evans, who some have been comparing to Cam Newton. They'll battle in spring but writing isbon the wall that Evans is Fuentes guy and Lawson is not.That's another 2 years of Lawson riding the pine, so expect those rumors to ramp up again as as the battle at spring football concludes.
If he transferred to USF, he would sit out one year and have three years if eligibility starting in 2017 and playing to 2019. Think 6'4 Quinton Flowers with rocket arm , and possible heir to Flowers if it happened.
