Embarrassing

I mean, I never thought we would lose, I just can't believe a college football head coach would call a game like this.
the benefit of having 2 programs in our division that are currently in shambles.

this same playcalling even with Milton might end up with a loss vs Temple or Cinci with a couple bad bounces

It’s the Killins runs that are killing us. I love the kid. But he isn’t built to run up the middle. He’s a specialist at this point. Outside runs, jet sweeps, and passing downs are where he excels.

McCrae and McGowan are better “backs.” Killins is a game changer, but he’s being misused.

Why would we call the same plays with Milton vs a team like Temple or Cincy? It's obvious they didn't want to put Mack in a situation to throw a pick 6 or some sort of turnover to give ECU momentum and have the pressure mount on the road in his first start. They felt we could win it with defense and that's what we did.

the defense was amazing tonight and had timely clutch turnovers but I'm not the only one concerned about Heup's playcalling on this board.

The defense was lucky. They are very talented, but turnovers largely are a matter of luck. Giving up almost 500 to ECU is just bad. I've never been so annoyed by a win in my life.

True frosh QB ate us up. He threw for over 400 yds. Spin it how you want, that's not good.

We give up yards. But bend and don’t break in the red zone. It’s frustrating for sure, especially the soft coverage on third downs. But I can’t complain to much.

The goal is to avoid giving up the big play. Force offense to methodically get down the field without making mistakes (ECU couldn't). Once inside the 20 field condenses and it is easier for the defense to make plays.

Yeah, we won. I'm being kind of a little bitch. I should be happier, but it is ECU.

Luck is where opportunity and preparation meet. Thank you lazy Randy for preparing them to take advantage of opportunities. Better yet, sometimes you make your own opportunities. This team did it.

In the 2nd half, there was a stretch where the offense was on the field for 4 plays and the defense was on the field for 36.

UCF gave up 240+ yards of offense, but on the score board won that section of the game 14-0.

Who cares about yards between the 20s?

Mack had a TD and a couple of other longer throws where he just overthrew the WR. He threw a perfect pass to Snelson but he dropped it. After that we just got a little too conservative on play calling (e.g. up 23-10 we ran the ball three times and punted). Thankfully, the defense made some plays and some great blocking by the OL sprung McRae for that long TD run.
