I hope DW or JH are leveraging the University's connection to Disney as it may be key to an invite.

If we can get ESPN to back us for B12 expansion it would increase our chances of getting an invite significantly.

Disney has an incentive to have us join. From a financial perspective Disney would not only benefit from having us as a P5 program, as our viewership would increase tenfold with B12 competition, but would also benefit from an increase in attendance to the parks during the offseason. B12 alumni would show up in much higher numbers than AAC alums, and will certainly make the trip to Orlando on an annual basis to take advantage of our thriving tourism options centered around Disney.

This question has been asked for years.

If Disney/ESPN pushed it, UCF would be in 5 minutes. It would benefit them to have large big pocket fanbases like Texas coming to town during what I would guess is a slower time for park traffic with school back in session

I think Disney will push for us. They did last time in the 10 team original Big east plan. The contract is half Fox, i'm not sure they care either way.

TV essentially controls expansion, so having Disney on our side is huge. I'm sure they remember the ucf parade down Disney main street after the Fiesta Bowl.

Yeah, I remember hearing that too. I don't recall the name but i think the interview also mentioned he (the Disney guy) was also part of the hiring team for the basketball search. (sounds very involved!)
Mickey Mouse! Duh!

Keep in mind, the UCF grad is president of Walt Disney World Resort. Which is a completely different arm of disney corp.
He has no more input than the president of ESPN would have on which ride at disney gets renovated next.
