If Holman were in I'm sure it'd be a different game

But he's not and we suck. Even without him our offense shouldnt be so godamn disguisting to watch.

Dont blame Bo, he was going to prom a few months ago and now hes thrown into a dumpster fire.

*Every negative thing about Key goes here*

Team is very young. Just how it is and it sucks.

Stop watching this game unless youre a masochist. If you are a glutton for punishment , then you're probably having the time of your life. Enjoy

I agree you don't blame players, this is coaching. The commentators on the Ohio State - Va. Tech game said it best though when Va. Tech's QB went down. "Every coach should be ready for the QB to go down and have plays ready if it happens."

The fact that he sat Holman (our only chance at making a bowl game) for burning Bo's redshirt is either a recruiting tactic to show that young guys can play immediately or pure incompetence.

Boosters need to make sure to threaten to take stop donating if key is ever considered to be hc
That will do nothing. the athletic dept regularly shows it doesn't give a single **** about the people who donate and buy tickets and support the program with money. Why would threatening to pull donations matter, they'd probably look at it as good because that means those people will sit at home and watch on TV. BIGGER RATINGS, SO MUCH EXPOSURE!

I had hopes that we could have a good season this year- maybe 9-3, but I honestly believed that 7-5 or even 6-6 was more likely. What I was hoping for was player development. I wanted to see Holman develop some touch, see the O-line improve over last year, and hope the LB's, WR's and DB's would grow up pretty quick. Against FIU, about the only thing I saw that I liked was that two of our WR's had started to make some plays. Against Stanford, given the circumstances, I thought the O-line played solid. They weren't spectacular, but I saw improvement from the FIU debacle. Our runningbacks had some holes and had some nice gains. And that is with a true freshman QB in there. Stanford knew we were going to be even more run heavy than we usually are, and we were still able to get 3 or 4 yards many times when we ran the ball. Against FIU, they didn't know, and we still couldn't run the ball. And let's be honest, even the haters out there, how many teams that we play the rest of the season will be as good as Stanford is on defense; 2 maybe 3- Temple, South Carolina, and possibly Cincy.
As far as the defense goes, I thought they played really good for about 3 quarters and then they were gassed. Stanford did a lot to keep us in the game with all the penalties, but in the end the better team won. I don't think anybody on here was predicting a win over Stanford before the season started. When Holman went down, so did any chance of an upset. Hopefully Schneider and Harris will get better with an opportunity to play. Does anybody know the severity of Holman's injury?

Once Holman went down, nothing about the offense surprised me one bit
Why would it? We had absolutely no experience out there against a PAC-12 team in the road.

Unlike K_L, I don't blame the players. This is all coaching.
Despite all your prior trolling ... I'll give you 100% props for this statement.

Just like Courts don't listen to Legislators, the people have their say, they can change the laws, but the courts weed out the allowable ones from the BS. Why?

Because on-a-whim, 1st and 2nd calendar quarter changes would destroy the country just as fast as 1st and 2nd game coaching changes would destroy a program. ;)

I'm glad Hitt doesn't listen! Because every time we start throwing GoL et al. under-the-bus, we fail to see exactly what they are building! UCF in 2011 ... totally.

And you really think the coaches didn't have the best guy ready to go?

So ... Mr. Armchair coach, who would you have as #2? Seriously, I'd love to know this answer. I already have a hint, and it's so getting torpedoed very fast!

No ... we put in one of the top 10 best pocket passers coming out of high school in the country. He got some experience. He saw some stuff. He looked like a noob at times, such as with that option. That's what you have to do!

The staff did what they should have, give those froshes some time ... in a real game against a P5 champion. People can complain all they want, excuse what they think Stanford is not, even start barking about how we're going to struggle against a FCS team next week.

No, this program is doing what it should. We're not going to have experienced, 3-4 star talent in the rotation every year like a P5 program. We're not going to always be able to draw on a junior of any viable talent or any, multi-game on-field experience. Sometimes it lines up, like Bortles as our 2012 as a starter (remember that year and the disappointments?). Sometimes it doesn't.

Get over it. Stop going off the deep end during the 2nd game. Does it look good this season? Surely not without Holman, let alone our RB situation is not good. But the program moves on, for the future.
