Ex-Supreme Court Justice said "Repeal 2nd Amendment"

I think he’s just saying, in a senile state, what many lefties really believe
 
A liberal wants to repeal the second amendment. I'm shocked. Get rid of guns, liberals have a much more efficient and legal way to kill people.

you think there would be people willing to sign up to go take guns from houses in texas knowing the guy behind the door is heavily armed and probably doesnt want to give them up without a fight?

the march for our lives heavily talked about banning guns. there are bills trying to go through congress right now that would ban guns. they are definitely trying.

Yes Wayne, I do think there would be people who would do that. Like I said - it won't though.

I thoroughly enjoy the continued hypocrisy of you all though. I'm glad when us "lefties" post about things we're told to stop being a snowflake and it will never happen. You keep freaking out over nothing though. Good for the soul.

I'm going to try to keep this civil. But yes, it ain't going to happen. The requirements to repeal ANY amendment to the constitution alone will prevent this from every seriously being considered. How the amendment is interpreted in the future may change; how it is litigated, enforced, etc can change. But it's a really ridiculous thing to seriously be worried that it will be repealed. It serves as a great rallying cry for politicians to garner support for reelection though.

i dont think 2a will be repealed but i am worried about other bans which might be considered lawful. i am worried because all the other freedoms we enjoy are because we have the right to bear arms to protect us from the government taking other freedoms away.
 
The amendment isn't going anywhere but the slow creep towards making it obsolete will continue. Similar to the 4th amendment.

Whether or not it's ACTUALLY repealed is irrelevant. I know it won't happen. It's still concerning though that you now have a retired Democratic SC judge joining opinion poll after opinion poll, suggesting that huge numbers of liberals in this country favor an out-right ban on all firearms.

Maybe they won't repeal the 2A. But they could do severe, long lasting damage to the constitutional rights that the 2A is supposed to employ and protect if they ever got enough power in Congress and the right left-wing culture war President to sign something.

It's already largely started at the state level in CA. They've passed so many laws on legal firearm ownership that it makes ownership extremely difficult for many people.

Most liberals don't want to take away the 2nd amendment. Republicans just use fear to motivate their base. It's all a bunch of people worried about this forever. Obama was going to take their guns, he didnt. Now a dude not in politics says the amendment should be repealed, no media says this is likely, almost no democrats support it and republicans hold all 3 branches of government and you're still scared.

I've already given you the exact recent poll showing that a near plurality of Democrat respondents voiced support for a full-out ban. You ignored it then as you're ignoring it now.

Also, you apparently completely avoided even reading my post since you're addressing something I didn't say.

Since FC has pretended like he didn't see the recent YouGov poll results I showed last time, I'll post them again here. That's a whopping 2% difference between Repeal 2A or don't within the D party. Basically a 50/50 split. And you'll notice totally out of tune with what Indys and R's want.

And what's also interesting is that the Strongly Favor responses outweigh the Favor Somewhat amongst D's.

I'm honestly not sure if you can read. I suspect not based upon your responses.

Nowhere did I say that I was "scared" of a full repeal; what I said is that I'm concerned of what other measures these people could enact if they were ever allotted power.

Why wouldn't it be covered by the media? It was EXTREMELY well attended. It was a news event. It would be weirder if it wasn't covered by the media.

Also - no...I'm sure some do want to outright ban firearms but just because you see some signs on social media doesn't mean thats what the crowd believes as a whole.

It's not so much that it was covered, but more that the media fawned over the entire event, even when confronted with people saying obviously untrue things. It's been this way for a while now. Even CNN's Cuomo admitted that they have been letting obviously false things get presented as fact in their interviews with the "activist teens" because they didn't want to ruin the narrative.

Rioting and violence after Trump elected and on inauguration day.
Hillary an X Secretary of State calling for persist, resist and enlist.
X AG Lynch calling for blood in the streets.
X AG Holder threatening Trump twice with rioting and violence across U.S. if he fires Mueller.
Obama building a website calling for activists and trolling Trump around the world speaking with leaders, against out laws.
Michael Moore calling for over throwing Trump and putting Hillary in.
Rappers killing Trump in videos, Kathy whatever decapitating him, a play in the park killing Trump and Hollywood calling him filthy names and at every event bashing him.
Resistance fighter shoots up Republican ball field.
Resistance fighter kills Republican neighbor.
Resistance fighter attacks Ran Paul.
Resistance fighter tackles a woman on the Trump team after a meeting.
FBI, CIA, DOJ found guilty of trying to stop Trump from winning, also from staying in office.

On and on we can't give up our guns we know what they want and what they all are and it is far from anything that resembles the America I grew up in.

Keep the guns, stock pile ammo and be prepared for the worst.
