Expect the defense to change drastically

The only down side to the Frost hire (don't get me wrong, i'm still all for it) is that the goal of the defense changes completely.

Think about what GOL stated in his 5 stats to winning the game (or whatever number that was). One of those was to score first. It doesn't take a smart person, or anyone with a long memory to know that GOL played conservative and played to hold on. The defense played bend but don't break, give up the field goal, but ultimately try and get a stop on 3rd down, then run the ball up the gut to tire the D-Line and run up time of possession.

With Scott Frost, the defense becomes part of the offense. I'm of the opinion that the defense will be tailored to get the ball in the hands of the offense as fast as possible so we can score again. That certainly doesn't mean that they will let the opposing offense score, but rather, they will play a ball-hawk type defense. Go all in for the strip or the interception and keep the opposing offense off the field, and all the momentum with the offense (think Houston's Defense the past couple of years. I believe we'll be playing a similar ball game to them, with more of the Oregon taste thrown in).

So those that like good, strong, crush 'em type defense, be prepared for a blitzing, fast, pass rush centric defense with WR turned DB's trying to cause as much chaos as possible.
