He was ISIS. You are dumb as shit if you think his motivation was a political registration from when he was 20 and not the 911 call right before he went in to the club.

I didn't say anything about Trump I said terrorists vote R. The Pitt shooter was a nationalist and they vote for Republicans

Stephen Paddock, who I didn't mention, was a Trump supporter and ranted about the government sterling his guns. That sound like a liberal to you?

Then we can go on to white supremacist terrorists and Charlottesville and a stabbing in Portland and a stabbing in New York and the church in Texas and the list goes on and on and on.

He's actually doing pretty poorly. He's got his same base from 2016 and it's not growing at all despite leading in name recognition.

It’s because she doesn’t agree. She’s got a history of being tough on crime. She backed many “regressive” policies as a prosecutor and AG that make the left unhappy. She’s having a hard time pandering to prog voters when it goes against her core values.

This is correct. Shes had some horrific policies that have really harmed people. She's fairly conservative and is trying to do anything she can to connect with the modern dem party but it's all BS.
 
In his town hall on Monday, Buttigieg made it crystal clear he opposes giving prisoners the right to vote. However, once they've paid their debt to society, he said they should then be allowed to vote like every other citizen of legal age.

It's a crowded field but as Buttigieg gets more attention, he's going to sweep the field. He's already getting the moniker, The Anti-Trump.

That should be a popular position and I think it'll be one that Trump takes up as well. Rather than just making it a blanket policy, I'd like to see them address some criminal justice issues first.

1. We need to look at the criminal statutes for felonies and weed out the crimes that should not be considered felonies. Originally, felonies were very serious crimes that often included some violent attribute. Murder, rape, burglary of an occupied dwelling at night, etc. These were serious enough to warrant seizure of lands and property and an overall removal of civil rights and standing. But now we have drug possession felonies, felony DUI where there was no injury or crash or even any sign of impairment in some places, theft felonies for amounts that have not adjusted due to inflation, and a slew of federal felonies that are almost hard to avoid sometimes. If we get rid of the felonies for non-heinous crimes, I wonder if people would be more in favor of leaving the voting rights as they are.

2. Reset all of the sentencing and then stick with it. Sentences have gotten all hosed up due to the politics of the moment. 10-20-life, mandatory minimums, and historical drug possession sentences have been overly penal while overcrowding and public sentiment are cutting sentences for felons short, meaning that they did not really pay their full debt to society. Let's fix the sentencing guidelines, give the judges discretion, fund the system to make sure everyone serves what they should for the crimes they commit, and then restore the rights after the sentence is served.

3. Find some way to get rid of the knee-jerk criminal legislation pushed on us by pandering politicians and special interest groups.

Here's just a recap of where we're at with various ideas and themes amongst Democrats in 2019:

- Elective Abortion until birth. The VA Governor proposed abortion after birth.
- The biggest tax increases in the history of the nation
- Imposing socialist takeovers of 1/5 of our economy that would add $3.5T in new spending annually
- "Green New Deal" socialist takeovers that would cost $9T annually
- Terrorists, murderers, and rapists voting from prison
- Abolishing all Federal law enforcement to enforce our immigration laws
- Mass illegal migration
- Abolishing the Electoral College to take advantage of the point above
- Unwavering support for anti-Semitic D Congresswomen

And we're not even to Summer the year prior to any election.

I truly can't wait to see what new extremist ideas and views get fleshed out once they actually start debating and they decide that the views above are too centrist for their base

student loan forgiveness
free healthcare for everyone
 
If someone is no longer incarcerated and no longer on parole, then they should get their right to vote back.

But never while incarcerated or otherwise on parole, still 'fulfilling their debt to society.'

On my last point, Cory Booker again went to bat for Rep Omar's disgusting anti-Semitic remarks about "dual allegiances". I expect that D's taking up the cause of defending anti-Semitism will only grow stronger as we head into 2020.
