You said Warren and that is what I replied to. Warren has never called for violence for one, and also, we don't even know that this was politically motivated. Nobody is acting like Democrats cant be violent as well, obviously anyone can be violent. But you will never see Warren laugh at jokes about shooting immigrants, or chanting send them back, etc etc.
Either Trump's words and reactions matter or they don't. And if they don't, then why do you support a president whose words you don't even think matter?

No, it wasn't a gotcha at all. It is a valid question. Moderate Republicans and Democrats have been saying for several years now that his words are dangerous, and you guys ignore it. His whole campaign was based on nothing but this "cult of personality" dynamic and his use of language. So do his words matter or not? When the calls for a 2nd amendment solution against Hillary, or tells his supporters he will pay their legal bills if they beat people up, or when he laughs when a supporter wants to shoot immigrants. Either his words matter or they don't.
They do matter, and it does nothing but rachet up the rhetoric, sows discontent, and villianizes his opponents. Now, not to diminish his part in this but nobody that he has personally attacked has been targeted by one of his supporters.
