Farm raised fish causes cancer

100% of cancer patients have consumed dihydrogen monoxide. Dihydrogen monoxide is added to nearly everything on the shelves at the store. This harmful product needs to be banned immediately!

I've tried to cut dihydrogen monoxide out of my life but it's like I literally need it.

Big city Boston guy starts blaming fish for cancer just because it was raised on a farm and probably voted Trump.

And in the US, 100%
of non cancer Patients have consumed it.

Studies show that everyone born in 1880 that ever ate carrots is dead.

Don't eat carrots if you want to live a LONG life.

The next person who never dies, will be the first.
There's no scientific reason we have to die or even age. We just haven't figured out the cause yet. There's a good chance we'll live to see the singularity. At which point we'll either be immortal or extinct. Most people think without a miracle it's extinct. Well Merry Christmas.

U also hear of people who have trees fall on them while jogging. exercising causes early death.

The latest label is "ocean raised" fish. Don't be fooled. This is the same as that garbage "farm" fish.

Wild sockeye salmon is currently $9.99/lb in my area. It has an incredible natural pink color and is full of omega-3. Contrast to the "ocean raised" salmon (the latest thing they call farm raised) also going for $9.99/lb. Full of artificial coloring to make it look like wild salmon, no omega-3, along with high levels of cancer causing agents. You do the math.

Isn't "wild" fish full of mercury?

There's TedTalks on this subject and it's fascinating. The question is when the aging remedy is created, will it ever see the light of day? I think not. It would create a significant overpopulation crisis.

We're quickly heading towards technology we can't grasp from where we stand. Imagine trying to explain the need for antilock brakes or variable valve timing to an 18th century stage coach driver. Hell... imagine going back 25 years and explaining how central social media is to our lives. AI and nanotech are going to drastically change things we fundamentally assume. Our consciousness being attached to our bodies may not be a given.

So I saw wild sockeye in my local grocery store for $7.99/lb. I was like, I'm down with that. but this store started showing country of origin label .. and it says China! Now knowing they don't have wild sockeye in China, I told the guy at the fish counter to hold that order.

So I come home and research and find that the fish is probably legitimate wild sockeye caught in the U.S. and then we send it to China to be processed. The Chinese labor costs $1/day versus $10/hr in the U.S. This process takes over TWO MONTHS and independent researchers are finding formaldehyde (a preservative) in these fishes. Unbelievable what we do in the U.S. to save a nickel. Will have to also start verifying where the fishes get processed at. Same goes for shrimp.

^^ and to top it off, we're apparently in progress of sending U.S. Chicken to China to be processed. You can google it and read all about it. All the U.S. based fish processors are getting laid off, soon to be chicken processing too. You just can't make this stuff up.

I hope Trump taxes the shit out of this and puts them out of business. I would rather pay $2 more a lb and have it done in the U.S.

The fish processors are mexican anyway.
I agree with you. Food should be processed here so we don't get poisoned by the chinesse. We all know they don't care what they put in their products

The question then becomes, are you going to buy that salmon at 10.99/lb. It was that $7.99 number that attracted you.

Also, its more than labor. It's also liability. You can't sue a Chinese processor.

Yes, I would pay whatever market price is for what I deem 'safe' food. I'm not too big on the organic, but will get organic for some of the "dirty dozen" and do know how to properly wash non-organic fruit and vegatables (agitation with hands very important, don't just rinse under water).

On the fish, I get that the processing of the salmon is a very manually intensive process, but damn. I'm sure they do their best to keep them iced, but when push comes to shove I can easily see them throwing a bunch of formaldyhide on the fish if it's going to go bad. FDA does virtually no testing, so we're on our own with this stuff. Not only do you have to now know the country of origin, you have to know the country of processing. And the chickens now too?

All this poison we've imported from China - the dogs dying from that poisoned dog food. All those kids in Germany getting norovirus, and the list goes on and on. Just to save a nickel and put thousands of Americans out of jobs. Trump is right. We have to draw the line. This nonsense needs to stop.

Ironically, all the additional health problems (i.e. cancer) these Chinese laced carcinogens cause , we'll end up paying a shitload more money in the end.

Again, it's more than just labor that makes it attractive. Domestic manufacturers also get litigated out of business. You have to fix the threads end-to-end.

Atlantic Salmon is still okay.

From what I've read - anything called "Atlantic Salmon" is almost exclusively farm raised. A while back, I bought some wild sockeye at whole food, and it was noticeably fresher and pink. Only $9.99/lb on sale. Will inquire where it is processed. Anything with a label of "Alaskan Salmon" is wild for sure. It's trademarked.

Morey's frozen Alaskan salmon at costco is definitely processed in Minnesota. Highly recommend. I read that the frozen sockeye at Costco is also processed in the U.S.

So I went back to the same grocery store with the Chinesed processed sockeye. This time it says "Made in the USA". So I asked the fish clerk to check the box it comes in is from the U.S. It was!

So good to go at $8.99/lb. $1 more a lb for USA processed. Very fair. I think they got too many complaints. Talk to the fish manager and let them know your concerns! For $1 is it worth it to eat that poison from China.

This fish was noticably pinker and fresher. Yes, I did have the Chinese one once accidentally. I know it was, because it sucked. That was before they started showing 'Country of Origin'.
