Normally a buddy of mine hosts a big Super Bowl party that coincides with his birthday party; but, this year, their kitchen's being remodeled so we've stepped up to host. We've got alcohol covered, but I'm looking for appetizer/snack suggestions. What sayeth da cooler?

I'm not much of a Super Bowl party type of guy. IDGAF about it if the Packers aren't in it. But bacon wrapped scallops, stuffed mushrooms (sausage, bacon and cheese in small mushrooms), bacon wrapped weinies are all good options plus they keep terrorists away from your party.

I got picked to make a side for a friends party. So I'm roasting sliced red potatoes in the oven with olive oil, minced garlic and Hidden Valley ranch seasoning. Then once fully cooked I am going to transfer to a hot skillet to crispy them up in a little garlic infused oil with parsley and bacon crumbles. After that I coat with Parmesan cheese liberally and back into the oven to melt the parm. Serve with a sour cream and sriracha mixed sauce.

A really easy one is just a block of sour cream with salsa poured over it with tortilla chips.

Make this, Ewe. I've made it for several dinner parties we've hosted and people love it. Let the cream cheese sit out for a while so it's easier to stir.

It seems like you'd be left with all of the cheese when the knots are gone. I think it would be better with the knots across the entire pan and then the heart clogging cheese goop over the top of all of them.

You'd be surprised. Not much cheese is left.

Those buffalo chicken dips are the best. They really are like crack. My CFO's wife makes it every year for our Thanksgiving pot luck and it's the one thing that I look forward to the most. One of the neighbors brought over buffalo chicken meatballs which were outstanding.

I ended up making buffalo cauliflower bites. I used PETA's recipe, only because it's the one where the pictures matched most closely to the ones I had at a restaurant recently. I used real milk instead of the soy milk/water that the PETA recipe called for. These were definitely the hit of our party. http://www.peta.org/living/food/spicy-buffalo-cauliflower-wings/

I also made a warm Italian sausage and pepper dip that went over very, very well. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/24185/italian-sausage-dip/

I definitely want to try those garlic knots that Joe recommended though. I don't eat bread (and the like) and knew that I'd be having chips, etc., so I didn't want to overdo it in that department.
