This isn't just some right-wing 'triggered' issue. The US Media, Academia and the Progressives have been not just silencing, but banning and blacklisting a number of prominent feminists who are 'Gender-Critical.' And the article highlights, it's because they embrace a viewpoint and argument that is 'too close' to right-wingers that most don't differentiate. And the backlash is growing.

There are legitimate criticisms with Liberals are taking issue with, even more so Feminists. It's not black'n white, and it's a deep dive into many realities. And the US Media proliferation of US Academic attitudes, despite the law which many non-US universities are guilty of violating in the opposite direction, is now 'infecting' other countries with the same lack of discussion and total intolerance at times.

The US is likely beyond hope to see any active debate on this for some time, with the almost assured destruction of any career that raises even selected questions. But the EU and many other locations are a different story. It's kinda ironic, but some of the best arguments, from Capitalism to Classic Feminism, are still in the EU, and long lost here in the US where any critique is immediately labeled 'religious right-wing' in nature.

QUOTE: 'The University of Pennsylvania has signed an open letter that does not recognize gender-critical feminists ... the arguments raised by both sides are complex and controversial. However, many transgender activists consider disagreements equal to hate speech and try to curb them ... The political polarization of the United States makes it even more difficult to discuss such topics. Transgender activists often portray gender criticism as the far right cause. That’s about to happen, but it’s a topic that left-wing feminists and social conservatives agree on. In Britain, most gender-critical scholars are left-handed atheist feminists. There are also some in the United States ... Their main concern is the conservation of women-only spaces.'
