Other than UCF this is horrible. Houston should be embarrassed

We need to get the hell out of this conference ASAP

Does Cow U's attendance figures mean that they are selling an average of 38,000/game and that for actual they have about 10,000 no shows?

Navy and ECU should pat themselves on the back. Good and loyal following.
Yeah, but even they are way down from past attendance figures
We wouldn't have the attendance numbers that ECU has if we had their record. They have the most loyal fans in the conference, and some of the nicest too.

I wouldn't knock them.

There’s nothing in Greenville. It’s the NGEbraska of the G5, just not as bad

I’m merely stating a fact that their attendance is down.

No..cows don't sell that many tix. They make up a "fake" distributed tix figure that they supposedly give away to sponsors but those Tix never materialize. Same way how their "sold out" game vs FSU had 10,000 no shows too. (Same number as almost every game).

Again figures for ECU and others are ANNOUNCED attendance figures.

Last year, ECU averaged almost 37,000 per game in aannounced attendance but ACTUAL attendance average was approx just 17,800. ECU's actual attendances this year will probably be even less than that.

That's really sad if USF is indeed 2nd. Their games looked like high school crowds for the majority of the season.

But are they?

Cows had more fluff than a kid's smores party.

Announced vs Actual
Vs Elon: 31,217 (21,698)
Vs Ga Tech: 34,182 (25,801)
Vs ECU: 34,562 (26,946)
Vs UCONN 42,127 (30,473) Homecoming
Vs Tulane 31,388 (21,010)
Vs UCF 57,626 (47,104)
38,517 (28,838)

Our game took them from averaging 24k to 28k.

I have told a few Bulls fans I know that if the University is smart (Yeah, I know), they'll try to partner up with the Rays and Rowdies and try to move in to their new stadium. They might actually not get treated like a red headed step child like the Bucs treat them and it would do wonders for their atmosphere and recruiting.

That half empty stadium looks TURRIBLE on TV.

Or just move their games indoors to the Sundome. That's the only way they'll get >50% attendance.

The funny thing is that if we were Top 25 back in even the Citrus Dump, we would have still averaged far more than USF in the pirate ship.

Understood, and agreed on Greenville, NC.

I went to (and graduated from) UCF for its engineering, and have never regretted it, quite the opposite with the ACM ICPC record, along with the Research Park and leadership in so many engineering fields.

But after being to so many campuses and towns, if I had to pick a place to go to college based on pure atmosphere and people, ECU in Greenville would be near the top.

I wish our fan base was just a little more like theirs. I'm hoping that happens within a generation, and I think it will.

Any fan who attended our game over there can attest that the 47,000 was pretty accurate (seemed like 50,000) and not 57,000.

Drop 4. UConn got us started. Then add the top 6 MWC per attendance. Boise, San Diego, Fresno, Colorado St, AFA, and Hawaii. That would get us to a fairly legit 14 team conference that could sort of claim to be P6.

Wyoming not Hawaii... travel costs are too.much and we already have a Hawaii recruiting pipeline.

Hell no to Hawaii ... not that cost and time change.

BTW, if we add AFA, then Army should come in too.

Took the words right outta my mouth. I agree 100%! ECU was my dad and I’s annual away game about a 7-8 yrs ago (we lost) and their fans were incredibly gracious. The owner of the restaurant we ate in before the game even came out, shook our hands, thanked us for coming, and then bought our lunch. And the food was amazing!

ECU the past few years have inflated numbers just as bad as cow u.

In 2017:
Announced Attendance Average: 36,727
Actual Attendance Average: 17,876

2018 season was even worse (no on was at their games) so please don't congratulate those schools that fluff up their attendance figures.

Sorry, I utterly disagree.

I could easily live in Greenville. And I'd much rather be married to a gal from Greenville than Lincoln. But that's just me.

SMU has an enrollment of only 12kish, don’t they? If so, their attendance number is impressive, not disappointing.
They're a school of mainly rich kids(parents) who think they're above you based on social class standing. Honestly, they couldnt be bothered to give a f*** about football

Exactly, not understanding the casting stones. Small enrollment, better team in P5 less than 1 hour away to get casual fans. 1 Bowl in last 6 years, and they lost to LA Tech. If UCF performance was the same, attendance would be below 30k and thats with an enrollment 5 times bigger.

When we played in CCG in Orlando they had a fair amount of fans travel. Most of them were blue hairs but fans none the less.

Just over half that amount is their undergrad student enrollment...while most of their students come from outside the State of TX so not many of the 6 Million residents in the DFW area care about this private school:

From SMU website:

Enrollment
Total Fall 2018 Enrollment – 11,649

Undergraduate students – 6,479
Graduate students – 5,170
Total new first-year undergraduate students – 1,674

National – More than half of undergraduates come from outside Texas, with students from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Following Texas, the leading home states for first-year students are California, Illinois, Florida and Connecticut.

International – International enrollment of 1,596 students (14% of total enrollment) from 83 foreign countries. The largest international groups are from China, India and Mexico.

What happened to 50k strong and that they carried the east coast market? Am I missing something? Lol.
